This is what she "well said": "What she did is trash the American people. Her "performance" had nothing to do with every day Americans. Her performance was her acting role of a lifetime. Sophie's choice-Hillary or Donald. She bet and she lost. Ask her how many Muslim refugees she has invited into her home. Ask her how many mentally challenged people she has contributed to. Then ask her how much money she invested into the Clinton campaign. A real page turner for this suffering artist who was treated so terribly by America and Americans. She wants to debate the middle class, the working class, those that not only pulled themselves up by their bootstraps but continue every day to do so, then she should come on this site. We don't act out the life we've heard about we talk about the lives we've lived. Trump may have done some stuff that he later regrets but my money is on him. I'll take a man who puts it all on the line for the people versus a person who puts nothing on the line except her opinion."
Unlike Trump who burnishes his image with a phony charity, Meryl Streep is one of the most philanthropic stars in Hollywood. Also unlike Trump, she doesn't boast about her charity work, or about anything else she's accomplished for that matter. Unlike Trump with his inherited fortune, she is self made and, like it is for every great actor, her career has been about putting it all on the line. She made two points in her speech. The first was about Trump's bullying. The second was about Trump's daily undermining of a free press. She was right about both.
