I'm not on board with everything written in this article, but the man does make a few good points.

Time to face reality, Obama — Trump is going to be president | New York Post

On her way out the door, first lady Michelle Obama tossed off an ungracious remark, saying, “We’re feeling what not having hope feels like.”

Actually, what she’s feeling is what half the country felt for most of the last eight years.

Obviously, Michelle doesn't get it. Trump has just given hope to every disenchanted American who was shat upon by both parties for the past 24 years. Wake the **** up.

Or, in other words:
The torch would be passed from Obama to Clinton, a liberal Supreme Court would vastly expand executive power and the regulatory state would enforce climate-change orthodoxy on all industry and elitist dictates on every American. Globalism would be the new patriotism.

But a funny thing happened on the way to one-party dominance: The people who work for a living said no, hell no.

Ok, what have you done with Calamity?? Not even FUNNY, sir...

;)

I love "The people who work for a living..." line.

I suspect the liberals cannot stand the implications for their policies that have lead to the backlash that they didn't believe could come

An Anonymous hack, perhaps?

Yeah, you can see many are still struggling with 'We've been rejected, Trump is going to be president'.

Right Direction or Wrong Track - Rasmussen Reports™

But you have to ask yourself, when the majority of the electorate thinks the nation is on the wrong track, why would you campaign on 'more of the same' ?

That the Left still fails to see that is kind of troubling. Bernie should have woken them up to the fact that the D establishment was in big trouble. Maybe, they were just so ****-sure that Trump would implode that they just ignored all the warning signs and stuck to their worn out script.

The thing is, Trump did do pretty much everything they hoped for. He made rude comments; he stuck to throwing out silly Tweets; he came unprepared to the debates, and his *****-grab video appeared to be perfect fodder for the D, which I am sure they assumed would sink him. But a funny thing happened, to quote the writer in the op, "The people who work for a living said, no. Hell no."

I've worked in manufacturing since 1979, in earnest since 1986. Up until the mid nineties, I was very busy automating various industries: material handling, assembly, welding, metal working, machining, and even garment manufacturing, converting manual sewing machines which hemmed T-shirts and attached sleeves into semi-automatic work stations and fully automatic assembly lines. Then, suddenly, as if someone threw a switch, it all ended. The demand for $35 Million dollar integrated systems dropped down to nothing.

Next thing you know, we're no longer sending complete assembly lines to Michigan, but rather we are developing semi-auto work stations to ship to Mexico, China and South America. A new trend emerged. Everyone suddenly wanted labor-intensive systems with just enough automation to ensure product repeatability but nothing which didn't require at least a half-dozen people to process it. Very little of it was sold State's side. And, nothing went to union shops.

Of course, by the middle of the 20-zeros, we all began to understand what went down. Factories in the US were being shut down and built new in other countries. The bleeding never stopped. It began with Clinton, accelerated during Bush II and continued along unabated with Obama. So, that all the worker bees said F-You to Clinton II really should not have come as a surprise.

"The people who work for a living said, no. Hell no."

Bull****, we all know who and what fueled Trump's campaign.

Anyway if the working people pick a billionaire elitist who never, ever worked with his hands a day of his life. Who was rich and privileged since the day he was born. And who constantly brags about his wealth and lifestyle? Then the 'working class' is stupid and deserves the HUGE ****ting on they are about to get.

It remains scary that we would entrust the job on people without the special experience any job at the CEO level requires. You would have thought Wegas learned our lesson from the Obama experience.

If the majority of the electorate thinks that the USA is on the wrong track than why did Clinton get more votes than Trump got?

Explain that,if you can.

About 4 years from now we all need to look around and see if we see any improvement.

If Trump does what he promised to the manufacturing people, I'll be one of his biggest fans. :) But, if he was just blowing smoke, and if he stiffs the working person like Obama stiffed his supporters, the backlash against Trump will be severe. He stirred up a hornets' nest. He better hope those their stingers don't turn his way.

Fair enough.

Not everyone who voted for Trump is racist. In fact, the numbers indicate his biggest support was from people who work in the private sector, especially manufacturing, energy extraction and service workers.

Quite a few other voters looked at the choice of presidential candidates, and couldn't bring themselves to vote for Hillary.

That's quite different than being a Trump supporter.

California will still be California 4 years from now when we have another election.

It's a rather unique state. Very liberal, but third-world-like when it comes to inequality. One day, all those people earning a tiny fraction of the Hollywood and tech crowd in the Valley will wake up and realize they are being duped by the elites, just like those in Ohio, Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin came to realize last month.

We'll learn what they think about Trump's time in the White House about 4 years from now.

If a lot of people aren't doing a lot better I predict that he'll be a one-term president.

Or, in other words:

I am leery of Trump, but I would have been just as leery if Clinton had won. I trusted neither, wanted neither to be our next president, hence my vote for Johnson. I wonder how much one man, even a president, what effect he can have on this country. The federal government has grown so huge, it has become a bureaucracy run by unappointed and unelected officials. People and heads of agencies, departments, programs, projects that were there prior to any president entering office and still there after a president leaves office. That bureaucracy will continue to try to run peoples daily lives in a way the bureaucracy wants and enhance their power over the people.

Whether Clinton or Trump won, this country will still be just as divided. Some call that divide polarization. We just had a president that promised hope and change, but this country became even more divided under that hope and change. I don't see that changing. So now the half of the country that didn't have hope under Obama, has hope under Trump. The other half who had all the hope in the world under Obama now doesn't have any at all. Polarization, regardless of which half has hope and which doesn't, we are still very much divided.

Yes, that's true, but as you know, the Democrat Party had problems with the Electoral College.
So you may ask, what's the lesson?
For an instructive analogy, look at it this way ...

California : Democrat Party :: the Middle East : ISIS

And as we've seen, ISIS realized that to do the most damage, they had to get out of the Middle East.

Because your predictions have such a good track record?

The best thing about the Trump administration is that there'll never be one.
I believe that Clinton will end up with more than 270 electoral votes.(Obama had 332 in 2012.) She may not win by a landslide but she'll be way ahead.
Clinton will win.Trump will lose because he opened his yuge mouth too much.
I'm looking forward to seeing that xenophobic bigot Trump and the Alt-Right get their butts handed to them.

They'll be crying the blues for the next 8 years but it will have no more effect on reality than it has for the last 8 years with Obama in office.
Now that this kerfuffle is cleared up we can get on with the election and Trump's inevitable defeat which he brought on himself with his own yuge mouth.
You and the Alt-Right won't have to make excuses for Trump because he won't be in the White House.
Come back and tell us all about it after the bigoted xenophobe Trump and his Alt-Right supporters lose on Tuesday.
Trump and the Alt-Right will lose on Tuesday.

Anyone who thinks otherwise is out of touch with reality.
The Alt-Right are the people who will be crying in their beer when the bigoted xenophobe Trump loses Tuesday.
Stay the course. The only way that Trump will see the inside of the White House is as a guest.

And I doubt that Hillary Clinton will invite him anytime soon. What would they talk about?

It's all over except for the vote counting.
Trump will never have a first day in office.

Deal with it.

He sealed his fate with his own yuge mouth.
Believe whatever you want to believe.

It won't protect Trump and the Alt-Right from defeat on Tuesday.
LifeZette is a right-wing propaganda organ. Everything that it says must be heard with that in mind.

After Trump and the Alt-Right get their butts handed to them by American voters they'll be claiming that the vote against them was rigged.

Wait and see.
Trump loses the election and life goes on.
My amusement will start when Trump and the Alt-Right get their butts handed to them next Tuesday and they start spreading all of their 'woulda, coulda, shouldas.
Right.

Trump and the Alt-Right will get their butts handed to them on Tuesday and in about 44 years massive demographic change will reduce the GOP to a small, regional, party.

"Better days are coming." ~ But not for today's out of touch, running out of time,GOP.

The Democratic Party will probably control the Senate after the election so impeachment isn't going to happen.
Clinton will win by a good margin.

The racists and the xenophobes are supporting Trump.

I didn't mean they were all racist. Many voted for Trump because they refused to vote for Clinton because she was seen as a 'Wall Street insider' and oblivious to the problems of the working man.

I'm just pointing out that expecting a billionaire from NYC to give a crap about the working man is foolish. He blasted Goldman Sachs for robbing people, and being global elitists? He blasted Clinton for being cozy with GS? Then he picks a few of the GS bankers for his Admin? Talk about a slap in the face to the working man.

Like I said. If the working man is looking to Trump to know what they are going through, then they deserves the ****ing on they are going to get.

And I also worked supporting manufacturing for 40 years. In Manufacturing engineering and maintenance. So I know all about how manufacturing in this country has been destroyed. But color me skeptical looking to ANY Republican to give a crap about manufacturing, especially if that manufacturing has a union. The GOP has made it no secret that they have declared war on Unions and working people.

Well, it was a D who pushed through NAFTA and supported pulling back Glass-Steagall. Obama and Hillary both wanted to push through TPP. So, it's not like we can count on them to protect us or help our cause either.

Like I said, if Trump stiffs the worker bees, they will sting him rather quickly.
