Michelle: 'We're feeling what not having hope feels like'...

President Barack Obama’s administration achieved the platform he ran for president on: hope, according to first lady Michelle Obama, who implied that many Americans no longer have that hope as President-elect Donald Trump transitions into the White House.

“We feel the difference now. See, now, we’re feeling what not having hope feels like, you know,” the first lady told Oprah Winfrey in an interview excerpt broadcast Friday on “CBS This Morning.”

My thinking is this..... that for the first time in 8 years, we do have hope ....and great expectations.
I'm not alone, millions think the same way.
And, as noted in the text, "obama failed to live up to expectations."

I don't feel that he didn't live up to expectations. He was just about what you should expect from a massively inexperienced social projects man catapulted into a job way beyond him.

The left purposely torments itself. How unfortunate. Constructing this reality of fear and misery is self defeating. All that negative energy isn't healthy.

If many of the millions of anti-American collectivists who choose to take up space in this country feel hopeless, that is cause for the rest of us to celebrate. Down with statism, and long live the United States.

Most Americans figured that out in 2010 when they turned the House over to Republican, more figured it out in 2014 when they turned the Senate over to Republicans, and the majority figured it out in 2016 when they showed the Democrats the White House exits.

Maybe one day you'll figure it out too.

Your into fuzzy math, most Americans? Who won the popular vote? Care to rephrase, or even address how you equate the word most to Trump loosing the popular vote? Stop lying

Negative energy would be Trump telling us how horrible our country is, those that were idiots enough to believe that one deserve Cry Baby, guess your deserving.

Nope, Obama will be long gone by then.

Trump is neither bumbling nor a fool. Quite the opposite.

Narcissist...probably.

I would call his campaign this summer bumbling.

Faint actresses will be losing hope. But today was a good day...

Apparently you don't know how elections work. Governors are elected by popular vote. State Houses are elected by popular vote. US Senators are elected by popular vote. US House members are elected by popular vote.

Really? Now who is president elect after everyone everywhere, including his own people and his own party, wrote him off? Who was smart enough to go after the electoral votes while Hillary went after the popular vote?

Funny how that was said 8 years ago after the BushII debacle to the rabid right...

What's old is new again... but the rabid right doesn't seem to have a collective memory to go along with their heaping helping of arrogance... :peace

The left brought us there.

Let's give a few more welfare bags a home loan!

Got a heartbeat............................here's a loan for ya!

You ain't quite right!

And who had the biggest hand in delivering us here?

Come on Michelle, legend has it both you are your husband are smart.

Shut up.

Probably smart enough to know the difference between "and" and "are" or atleast review their words before hitting reply. :2razz:

Apparantly you need a math class.

I am remembering that the people who I watched played "gottcha" with professors tended to be none too bright.

They also wasted class time.

The lowest form of debating, personal insults, learn that from your Dear Leader?

Obviously you missed what I was responding to.

I can play anyway others demand to play.

I would prefer civilized.

Michelle Obama is as narcissistic as her husband.

For the second time I my life, I am again ashamed of America!

:lamo

The thrill was gone for a lot of black folk a long time ago.

Well, I suppose I can't force you to respond to the point actually being made for once.

Objectively, we're doing way better today than when Obama took office.

What you choose to blame that on doesn't become a fact simply because hate the left and typed some words on the internet

So, you respond to my post with something that was totally irrelevant to what I posted and now you get your panties in a twist claiming I didn't respond to your point. Sorry, responding to your point doesn't mean I have to agree with it or be sidetracked by it. My point was that the US would have a new Democrat President elect right now if Obama's Presidency had been the great success you on the left like to fantasize it has been. It hasn't - and that's largely why you have a President elect Trump who ran against the last 8 years in Washington and Hillary Clinton who ran on 4 more years of Obama is on the sidelines bitching about the Russians stealing her birth right.

Liberals thinking that there was a great recovery from the housing Ponzi scheme created by the Clinton administration and that exploded into an international financial crisis in 2007/2008 is why Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan, Wisconsin and others voted to toss the Democrats out. Unless and until you figure it out - people don't want a nanny state, they want opportunity - you'll remain on the outside looking in.

It took them a while, but the Republicans learned from their mistakes - will Democrats?? Or will they continue to think that they are always right and the voters just got it wrong this time?

Your into fuzzy math, most Americans? Who won the popular vote? Care to rephrase, or even address how you equate the word most to Trump loosing the popular vote? Stop lying

You can wallow in the comfort of having millions of wasted Democrat votes cast in California and New York - hope it makes you feel all fuzzy - but where it counts, in the battleground states where the battle was won, most Americans showed the Democrats the White House exits. The arrogance of the Democrats even had them not campaigning in Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania leading up to the vote - so nice to see that many Americans are sick of being taken for granted by arrogant liberals.

What did she say that's so surprising?

It's more about her statement --- that she had hope for the past 8 years, but in reality there was no hope then either, so she was just deluding herself. Probably because Barack is her husband which is fine, but Obama's claim of hope and change was BS and BS, or at least that was the way it turned out. She in reality, she hasn't had hope for at least 8 years - perhaps she is just now realizing it.

If you cannot communicate without personal insults....

The NYSE obviously has a different view.
