Samsung wins part of Patent fight in SCOTUS ruling

Samsung has won a bit of the war in the 5 year war with apple on the patent infringement case that started in 2011.

Supreme Court Sides With Samsung, Against Apple In Patent Infringement Fight : The Two-Way : NPR

in a previous case Samsung was ordered to pay 399m dollars as the court ruled that it violated the entire phone.
the SCOTUS overturned that decision saying that it didn't have to include the entire phone just parts.

this was an 8-0 decision.

it was sent back to the lower court to redefine a better ruling.

Was to be expected. Apple lost similar lawsuits world wide and it only went their way in the US because of the jury system. The jury system is flawed in such technical issues, which clearly shows now.

The only reason they won is that the case was in apples back yard, and the so called leader of the jury was a huge apple nut.
Samsung should have called for a change of venue.

I go all over Europe and they refuse to touch apple products.
