What was the last thing Trump said that you and I can believe?

"Trolling" means different things to different people. No clear definition and therefore a meaningless word.

In the context presented here, it clearly means "tweeting something just to piss people off," which is pretty ridiculous for a guy who, in seven weeks (six?), will be taking the oath of office. Of course, we just elected the world's biggest boob into the highest office in the land, so I don't have much hope for the expectations of the American people.

What a goddamned travesty this guy is.

All of it..

As P.T. Barnum once said ...

Given that he's already started walking back the land of no Mexicans and honey he promised you during the campaign, the fact that you still faithfully believe every word that comes out of his gaping piehole says a lot more about you than it does about Trump.

He promised to do something about criminal illegal aliens and is still going to do just that..

Remember, rapist, criminals, murderers, gangbangers. etc.. The ones he has been talking about the entire time..

land of no mexicans my ass..

Funny comment I heard today is "Trump will have the nuclear codes in three weeks. Meaning Putin will have our nuclear codes in three weeks and a day."

It's as if he has literally no understanding about the rather precarious situation the world is (and has been) in. There are tangles of hostility all over the place, and the U.S. has played a rather large role in using diplomacy (no doubt, much not public) to keep things in a sort of quasi-cold-war like balance. India and Pakistan. Etc.

This dangerous twit is just waltzing right in, ignoring all these delicate diplomatic conventions. (See, for example, calling up the Taiwanese leader for a chat, as if there weren't 40+ years of careful diplomacy).

Is Trump trolling China, the OP asks? No, he's not trolling China. To troll China he'd have to have a clue. He doesn't know the slightest thing about what he's doing, and it makes him all the more dangerous that he simply doesn't give a **** either.

And his supporters are no better. We'll find out in a very big way that the U.S. President can't just teabag the world without consequences.

Thanks Kobie. I rather thought that the Pres Elect was making a statement along the lines that his USA will not be a patsy, meekly acceding to every to every Chinese demand.

As a former diplomat I know that 'delicate diplomatic conventions' are sometimes an excuse for walking away from problems or pretending they do not exist. If President Trump's foreign policy s assertive so much the better for the US and its allies.

There are good assertive policies and there are bad assertive policies. I think breaking decades of one diplomatic approach with China and following up by tweeting about how China sucks is not one of the good ones....

I wouldn't be troubled if this was a one-off thing and I doubt anything serious will result from this one phone call. But my concern is about the pattern.

(There was also the glowing call to Pakistan, which ignored sending the wrong signals to India; a country which, no less, harbored a great enemy of ours for years while lying to our face about it).

This guy reminds me of Maddow. Because of that, I couldn't watch the whole video. But, to answer your thread title question...no. Trump is not trolling China. He's sending a very clear and serious message to China, which is...things are about to change.

This is on par with the other messages he's sent recently...to American businesses, to government bureaucrats and contractors, just to name a couple.
