The idea of having a President who gets Americans killed deliberately and hires a corrupt Sec of State who does the same is a bit more than just disgusting....thinking people are grateful that Hillary didn't win.

The problem I see with Casper, Katzcar and others like you is that you believe sources that are deliberately inaccurate.
The media ls largely left controlled. Obviously, during a left controlled administration they want everyone gullible enough to drink their propaganda Kool-aid to feel the world is great, jobs are plentiful, the economy is booming and crime is low.

They report wonderful jobs numbers, but only give you the information you are dumb enough to want to hear. Nearly 100 million Americans have fallen out of the work force.
The real rate can be reported as high as 40% unemployment. But that number is on the other end of extreme.

However, the same way the left media pulled to unbelievable lengths to fool the American people into believing Hillary Clinton had the election wrapped up and presented mountains of polls other evidence to back it up...it simply wasn't true.

There is too much corruption at this point to trust the MSM without a lot of due diligence. Just because you "want" to believe things are great under Democrats does not make it so.
The stock market is a good example. It's soaring...yet there is no real foundation for those gains in value. it's all propped up by magical profit takers and fictitious media reports.

The government publishes reports that net immigration is negative for the first time in years, yet those actually on the border report otherwise and in most cases, are forbidden from speaking of it. Why? Hmmm.

Remember Mr. Obama saying coyly that there wasn't even a "smidgen" of corruption in the IRS, only to later be proven untrue?

Violent crime is not down. It's manipulation of data mostly by corrupt politicians and their If you believe the data you get from Washington based "think tanks" and MSM sources as true, then you also probably believe Loretta Lynch when she says she only discussed grand kids with Bill Clinton when they met ILLEGALLY on private jets earlier this year in the midst of an ongoing investigation into Clinton corruption.

Please spare me. Your information sources are skewed. The truth will eventually be exposed and just like the "imminent election of Hillary", a lot you swear by will be pulled out from under you.

trying to make me a leftist by claiming I support Clinton is just plain dishonest. Making stuff up to demonize her is dishonest. the republicans had 33 hearings on Bengazi with no findings of wrong doing. you are just making stuff up. The reason to not vote for her is she voted for the Iraq war and kept a server at home, there is no need to make stuff up.

Up until recent years the news media had a little more restraint. The phrase "Things Were Done" was once used in place of graphic descriptions of brutality. The news was expected by society to adhere to certain standards of "decency" in what they reported.


Now all the brutal details are glamorized in Technicolor blood and gore for the titillation of the news consumer, and every fresh shock is hyped and sensationalized for ratings.

If that were all it was, then the Left should drop it's non stop war against gun ownership. If after all, America is becoming such a safe place.

I live in a very heavily populated urban area. I see first hand the increase in crime. I talk to cops. I see places around me getting robbed more frequently.
Maybe those who say it's only the media live on farms in rural areas? There are more unemployed desperate people on the streets. Many of these people turn to crime.
Connecticut and many other areas are having a resurgence of Heroin and drug addiction.

Yet...magically, there is "less" crime ?

There is more suppression of crime statistics for political reasons. Mock me now...look foolish later.

It is not just the media.

But I can understand why you say that and have no problem with that POV.

I'm saying it because statistically it is a fact that violent crime has been trending downward since about 1980. There have been times when it was up X year compared to Y year, but the trend is downward.

Yes, I live in a semi-rural area on the edge of farm country. My county is unusually violent and has about the same crime rate as Compton. It has been atypically violent all my life... I was in my late 20s before I realized this wasn't "normal everywhere".

In the last ten years we've had a rising problem with meth, meth labs, meth dealing and meth users. Theft is way up, but mostly it is stealing from outbuildings, garages, sheds... locally thieves rarely break into houses because in my state we shoot them.

Violence is still down compared to the 1970s. In any case, what is happening locally is happening locally, and isn't necessarily everywhere. Same for you.



It is also a plain fact that the news media has grown huge and fat since the 9/11-inspired 24/7 news cycle and overhypes all manner of things for the sake of filling their shows and getting those ad dollars. In pursuit of sensationalism they revel in revealing gory details they once would have refrained from.


Yes, the Obama admin has indeed fanned the fires with regard to BLM, anti-cop rhetoric and being soft on crime. The nearest large town has had some BLM problems. Yes, we also have our share of problems with illegals, and in some places it is worse.


I'm just saying it doesn't necessarily mean it's all going down the flush. A lot of it is media hype and perception.

The claim is true. Again, denial doesn't change anything.
I have read the liberal / Progressive attempts to "explain" some other meaning to what he said.

However, the larger context is that Obama has absolutely encouraged illegal immigration over his 8 years. He has not only encouraged it, he has protected it.
Do your own research if truth matters to you.

In the context of his overall actions, it becomes clear that not only would he say this......he did.

The assumption that Obama and the Democrats have not harmed this nation is both naive and misguided, but also evidenced in the fact that Americans came out against Democrats in November for exactly these reasons.
