Not me. I don't even watch CNN. Or MSNBC. Or any major news outlet.

I get my news online.

I get much of mine on line too, but I also follow all the mainstream media sources out there. If you don't get some sort of balance it is too easy to get a distorted view of what is being presented honestly and accurately and what is not.

She lost some luster with me, however, in her lack of objectivity in expressing her intense hatred for Donald Trump both at the first primary debate and subsequently since that time.

She lost luster with you because she questioned your lord god.

It is money AND power that go into the equation.

Can CNN offer her the power she craves?

IDK

Yes I do believe they would. Da*m I did not know she was getting that kinda of scratch, see is even better looking now if that were possible.

And frankly, when she is on point, she is as good or better than Christiane. You can have a big ego when you're good and you know it. That's why I think an offer from CNN would be really attractive to her even though she would have to take less money than Fox is willing to pay her. I am not questioning her talent in any form at all. Just her journlistic ethics, and I don't think CNN cares a great deal about that.

We are on the same sheet of music.

I dont watch TV, have not in years, but once upon a time the CNNI journalism standards were much higher than CNN America's....I wonder if the CNNI crew would accept her....

If Time Warner is not willing to let her do CNNI then they are going to have to offer her something else that she wants to get her, and I dont know what that would be...does she still want to be Barbara Walters even though she flopped at the recent attempt?

Well, she was courted originally by CNN (where I thought she fit best), then flew-the-coop for the Fox money, and perhaps now she's after more than money (whatever that may be); so why not?

She would definitely elevate CNN, and they need it after the Donna Brazile fiasco. I still like CNN and would definitely welcome her. She's tough, independent, and has chutzpah!

Considering Kelly & CNN entertained each other the first time, and she may need a break from the whole Fox/Ailes/Trump scene. I definitely think doing this deal is reasonably possible for both parties.

Added impetus: As tough, proficient, professional, and ambitious as she is, she does strike me as someone who follows her heart & happiness; this video seems to indicate this:

After observing her over these last several months I tend to agree that CNN would be a better fit for her professionally than Fox News is. She would have more license to be obviously biased in her views and would probably find more soul mates there. Again, according to Drudge, she is not well liked by her colleagues at Fox and that could make for an unpleasant or lonely work environment for her.

Would she put her career ahead of private personal pursuits? I have no handle on that whatsoever.

At the same time she could quickly get sideways with colleagues at CNN if she insisted on being as blunt about the sins or shortcomings or contradictory statements of certain personalities such as Hillary as she has been at Fox. CNN buried most of that stuff to the point that it did appear to be their official policy.

They are both classed and described as political commentators.

I don't think so. "Political commentator" is only third.

I would assume (probably wrongly  ) that money isn't the main motivating factor at some point in one's career.

Generally, people's financial goals increase with their incomes.

Unfortunately, i suspect there is no such thing as lasting satisfaction for humans.

FOX cant offer her that...

I have always taken it as a given that Kelly wants to follow in the footsteps of Christiane Amanpour .

Her ego is just that big.

I didn't think we cared about international ratings and it obviously doesn't mean much or they could pay her what FOX does.

I would not be surprised to see her run for President one day.
Really?

Well, I never considered it - but it's an interesting idea.

After Trump, I suppose anything's possible.

As someone who still watches CNN, tarnished as they are, I'd absolutely love for her to go there and shake things up! Maybe even become a conservative voice there!

Legal background. Articulate. Good on television. Good name recognition. The story writes itself.

Yep, can't argue there.

And female too. Not sufficient in itself (as we've seen), but many would like to see the day!

I wasn't sure this would qualify for the media forum so am placing it here.

CNN WANTS MEGYN
CNN President Jeff Zucker is actively perusing FOX star Megyn Kelly to anchor 8 or 9 PM on his network, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned. And Kelly might just say, YES!

"He is moving the Himalayan mountains to get her," a top insider explains. "But they are tripped up on money. He simply can't pay her the $20 million a year FOX has on the table."

Kelly's contract is up in July 2017.

For Kelly, a move to Columbus Circle would represent a fresh break from a turbulent 18 months at FOXNEWS. And the chance to go directly against arch-nemesis Bill O'Reilly will be hard to resist.

Meanwhile, the highs and lows of the Trump and Roger Ailes dramas have taken a toll. . . .

I have mixed emotions about this frankly. Megyn is beautiful and a formidable media personality. She lost some luster with me, however, in her lack of objectivity in expressing her intense hatred for Donald Trump both at the first primary debate and subsequently since that time. She doesn't hide it well at all.

I'm torn because I think CNN probably deserves her more than Fox does--in other words it probably wouldn't be a good move for her but who knows? Would she be able to displace O'Reilly in the No. 1 spot he has held for like forever? Hard to say, though I seriously doubt it. Would she lose viewership? I think she might but again who knows?

So what do you think?

And if she goes to CNN, who should replace her at Fox?

Let me help you with that. Fox, CNN and Megan are media not political.

And then there are all those documentaries and non-fiction series CNN has invested in to use as primetime programming for when the news cycle cools down.

In the wake of a stunning election cycle that gripped the nation, that has yet to happen. People familiar with the network characterize the original series as a type of programming insurance for when the big stories of the day aren’t big enough to capture massive viewership. If that’s the case, these people speculate, Kelly could find a place in CNN’s lineup. There’s also the chance that Zucker, long known for his willingness to experiment with new formats, might try something different with Kelly. “She’s an immense talent,” Zucker told Variety earlier this year. “She’d be a tremendous asset to any organization she’s with.”

I can totally see Kelly leading the "60 minutes" style taped content for CNN...maybe doing old timey investigative journalism, thus building her cred as a journalist maybe getting to do some of the Barbara Walters style stuff.

Kelly would do well at CNN. She's really good at changing her slant to whatever she feels is better for ratings.
