Why did Hillary Clinton join Jill Stein, the Green Party's oddball presidential nominee, in asking for a recount of the votes in Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania, when everyone knows that such a recount won't change the outcome of the 2016 election?
Part of the answer is that people close to Hillary — Huma Abedin, Chelsea Clinton, and Sidney Blumenthal — encouraged her to ask for a recount as a way of lifting her spirits.

"She is weepy, looks 10 years older and is very whiny," said one of Hillary's closest friends. "She has been drinking wine pretty heavily, much more than usual.
"She mopes around all day, swimming in a sea of recriminations and complaining that her campaign managers were 'incompetent,' Bill and Chelsea 'didn't work hard enough,' FBI Director Comey was 'in league with Trump.'"

In addition, President Barack Obama convinced Hillary that it was in the best interest of the Democratic Party if the Clinton legal team got involved with the recount and didn't leave it to Jill Stein.
"The president felt that the progressives were acting stunned and helpless and had to rise out of their stupor and show that they weren't going to take their defeat lying down," said the source.

"Contesting the results of the election was the best and fastest way to stir the morale and fighting spirit of the demoralized party.
"Obama felt that a recount would plant a seed with the base that the election was somehow dishonest," the source continued. "He wanted to raise serious questions about the legitimacy of the Trump presidency."
And what did Bill Clinton — the man Charlie Rose called "the best political animal that's ever been in American politics"— think of all this?

A close Clinton adviser said: "Bill thinks the recount is going to backfire as a strategy because there are probably no more than a handful of questionable ballots and they could actually wind up adding to Trump's numbers and validate rather than invalidate his election."

I am totally believing that Bill is upset because his wife for too long has refused to listen to his advise.

And now she has likely ****ed the foundation too.

Maybe they are going to go out like THE COS.

Out of sight because everyone hates them.

She looked like her old self last evening at the "Snowflake Ball" [LOL!]

Ed Klein makes crap up frequently.

Lol the article did say she has been drinking wine a lot maybe she was just drunk.

But I agree she does look as frumpy as always in her yellow chairman Mao designer potato sack.

No, no, I'm not talking about the author. I'm talking about the unnamed source refered to in the article.

Ed Klein is the "unnamed source". That's what journalists/fan fiction writers do.

Omar the tent maker haz a sad after that comment. Seriously, why does she insist on wearing clothes that literally look like they're made from drapery, or upholstery fabric?

You guys and your fashion critiques. Back-in-the-day she was criticized for "thunder-thighs"; now it's for her pantsuits.

A lil chewable on the author of the stupid hit piece in the OP:

"Klein received extensive criticism for his 2005 biography of Hillary Clinton, The Truth About Hillary. Politico criticized the book for "serious factual errors, truncated and distorted quotes and overall themes [that] don't gibe with any other serious accounts of Clinton's life."

The conservative columnist John Podhoretz criticized the book in the New York Post, "Thirty pages into it, I wanted to take a shower. Sixty pages into it, I wanted to be decontaminated. And 200 pages into it, I wanted someone to drive stakes through my eyes so I wouldn't have to suffer through another word."

In the National Review, conservative columnist James Geraghty wrote, “Folks, there are plenty of arguments against Hillary Clinton, her policies, her views, her proposals, and her philosophies. This stuff ain’t it. Nobody on the right, left, or center ought to stoop to this level.”

Kathryn Jean Lopez of National Review asked Klein in a June 20, 2005 interview, "Why on earth would you put such a terrible story in your book...that looks to be flimsily sourced at that?," regarding his suggestion that Chelsea Clinton was conceived in an act of marital rape.

The Republican Governor of North Carolina lost his re-election against a Democrat.

His loss keeps increasing as they count more votes.

But he refuses to concede and so does the NC GOP.

He is demanding a recount and alleges serious fraud, without any evidence.

I'd love to see the national GOP condemn this demand for a recount. I won't hold my breath.

Nothing but hypocrites.

I would not be surprised to hear, in the near future, Globalist Granny being admitted to the "hospital," for a "routine check up."

I think she is mentality unstable.

Want to see some real mental instability?

Check out trump's compulsive midnight rants on Twitter. Crazy stuff.

The other option is that you dont understand the genius.

Do you know who Ed Klein is?

Hint: He's a joke, and many on the (thoughtful) right even acknowledge this.

Yes, I know who he is. No, I offered no opinion at all; somebody else posted an unnamed source, so I named him.
