I had forgotten that he had a rep for doing that kind of thing before ... including pretty recently now that you reminded me.

That's what I thought too.
It kinda makes me think this whole Romney thing might be a bit of revenge, deserved or otherwise, before one of them says "enough".

I'd say it's one way for Trump to get feedback from the public at large. Conway did a great job for Trump. I seriously doubt she's gone south on him. Besides, after the election, who in the hell would hire a pollster? Do you actually believe Trump would pick Romney for SoS? I don't. This is a display of magnanimity and forgiveness from Trump that's not sincere at all. I think that you or I would have a better shot at SoS than Romney.

I know they say he doesn't sleep much but Trump hiring Romney would mean waking up every day wondering if your SofS burned you yesterday.

No kidding. I'll be seriously surprised if Trump picks Romney. I think it's just favorable optics for Trump. I don't think he's serious about Romney at all - Trump had Romney over to kiss the ring with a hint of something in it for Romney - that kind of thing.
