“It’s still one of those nations where you see donkey carts alongside cars, trucks and buses in downtown Havana because that’s exactly what they’d rather have for transportation,” Williams stated Saturday.

Brian Williams: Cubans Would Rather Have Donkey Carts for Transportation - Breitbart

How many Cubans in South Florida drive donkey carts?

This is how the left regards the average citizen...Keep exposing your leftest bigotry, Brian.

And the Haitians would rather eat mud cookies.

And North Koreans would rather eat soup made from dirty water, rocks, tree bark, and old shoe leather.

If there was ever proof just how out of touch these so-called news types are, here it is.

Well, it's because they're trying to reduce their carbon foot print, brah.

I don't know why people have been making this assumption that the Cuban identity is a monolith. Cubans in the US do not directly reflect the the Cuban Nationals/citizens still on the island.

Personally as a post-civilizationist I don't approve of the utilization of cars in the initial consumption of resources in the manufacturing process to the running consumption of fuel or any other aspect of maintenance. Given in a somewhat romantic, but also somewhat serious sense I think this would be preferable over cars. Obviously not everyone would substitute their automobiles with donkeys and chariots, but as long as a practice is sustainable and has aggregate low impact I think It would probably be okay.

Now I'm not saying this even reflects what Cubans think, because honestly you're right it probably doesn't. However, you draw inappropriate relationships in opinions of Cubans overall and in your hyperbolic analogies. People actually did use livestock very effectively for millennia.

Yep, and Cubans would rather live on 1/4 the income of Puerto Ricans too. ;)

Brian Williams would say that the Ethiopians and Somalians are health conscious when it comes to counting calories.

Brian Williams emerges from irrelevancy long enough to make himself look like a bigger idiot.

Brian would know. After all, he was there when Fidel Castro was assassinated.
