Kaepernick (Defends Castro)

Americans celebrating this death amuse me. The fact you even still care about Castro validates him more than he ever deserved. Tiny island nation that had one moment of actual importance.

A smart person once said, they will live rent free in the minds of his enemies because they will always obsess about him.

Ol' Fidel has not been pertinent since the early 60's, and the United States does not need a damned thing from Cuba. never has.

This Kaepernick(sp) idiot just hates America and all it stands for. He hates our flag, he hates our anthem, and he loves and supports out traditional enemies.
No wonder he feels at home in San Francisco.

And yet he died in his own bed after a year where the US ended the trade embargo....go figure

It's like the old saying goes. The good die young; the evil just live on forever, or in Castro's case, long enough for a bunch of naive people who never had to stay in Cuba and see how somebody who wasn't a chance for a PR gain lived to declare what a great leader he was.

Being a Soviet satellite close to the US made it so.

If it were a tiny island nation like yours, and as far away as yours, it wouldn't have mattered much.

Lol I'd be offended but you did just elect a man who I saw a few years ago judge a cake sale between Lil Wayne and Gary Busey.

You just elected a man that boasted about grabbing a women by the ***** and wants to round up people based on their religious preference. What's that saying about people in glass houses?

Oh and if u hate Cuba so much why visit 8 times?

Trump only talked.

The Castro government beats, executes, and imprisons as a matter of fact and routine.

It's a stretch to call Castro evil. He just destroyed his opponents and lived with the very real threat of assassination or invasion from a hostile neighbour.

The US has the biggest prison population in the western world and you have a facility off the coast of Cuba that detains people without trial and tortures them. What am i missing?

Are you speaking from experience or do you have stats to back this statement up?

Never been to Cuba, but it's common knowledge.

I give two ****s about Hillary, I'm from the UK.

Fidel overthrew a corrupt government and continued to exist despite Americas attempts to oust him. For that he has my respect.

I gave you a like for this post because if you study Fidel's guerilla tactics, they were brilliant.
They even invented a grenade launcher from a single shot shotgun.
They also made judicious use of scoped hard hitting rifles at range.
Batista was an animal, but Fidel's government were and are even worse.
Under Batista you could travel from one town to another.
Under Fidel, you need a permit and permission to even fart a certain DIRECTION.
The usual path for all "worker's paradises".

They weren't visits? What were you the American James Bond? From Havana with love?
I smell a Walter Mitty.

You clearly have no knowledge of Gitmo.
A base all ships of the Atlantic Fleet go for their refresher training, or REFTRA as we call it.

A place where the Cuban hookers have worn a path through the mine fields on their way to work.

A Cuba Libre !!!....for $50.
"round the world...$100.
A "James Bond" for $30.

So, yeah, a few of us got "James Bonded" in Cuba.

It's still not Castro's Cuba. It would be like me saying I knew Spain because I was posted to Gibraltar.
Americas opinion and image of Cuba is based off decades old reputations and anti communist chatter. Fact is its quite a nice place to visit and has a vibrant tourist industry.

The irony of leftists that routinely spew hatred against the US government praising a man and regime that would throw their ass in prison before publicly executing them for doing it in Cuba is mind boggling. That so many visit the tourist Mecca of Havana and ignore the rest of the country that is so desperate and dire that people build boats out of bathtubs to escape the Hell they are forced to live in...just...stunning. They go to Havana...hold Castro's dick for a week (and pay him for the privilege) and think...gosh...isnt Cuba swell?

****ing amazing.

That UMAP experience...thats something ALL leftists should enjoy...right? I mean...seriously...how the **** do you pretend to support gay rights, human rights, free speech, etc while you sing the praises of a man that imprisoned people for those things?

Perhaps I can help. "USN" stands for United States Navy. As for Castro, I don't speak ill of the dead, so I'll pause to remember the thousands who died at sea fleeing Cuban tyranny.

It's not a stretch in the slightest to call him evil. He murdered thousands of innocent people.

Poor him. Poor, poor Castro, who had to live with the consequences of his actions.

Your basing your view if the country...... Off its tourism pitch?

:lamo:lamo:lamo

Buddy, I hate to burst your bubble, but tourists don't really get to see how a country really is, especially in dicatatorships like Castro's Cuba. They took you to the nicest part of the island with the richest 3% of the population and told that's how the poor live too. You got scammed.

Yet your government is striving to get back on good terms with Cuba? What am I missing? What information do you have that would suggest massive Human rights infringements?

P.s you just described every tourist experience in any country.

Castro murdered tens-of-thousands of innocents. It's very easy to call him evil.

I mean both of our countries have plenty of blood on our hands. You guys dropped the A bomb and we fire bombed Dresden. Not to mention what we did in Iraq most recently.

So your friends that left Cuba decades ago?

Most of those links I posted are from 2015 or 2016.

The Castro's haven't changed; just our willingness to accept human rights violations.
