Preparing the kiddies for their higher education at Crayola University, the United Educators of San Francisco—you already know what’s coming, don’t you?—resolved last week not to tell their students that Donald Trump won the presidential election. Instead, they’ll kind of let on that Hillary Clinton really won.

They also plan to encourage the kids to use profanity when speaking of Donald Trump—because, asserts the teachers’ union, he’s a racist and a sexist and a symbol of white privilege and he’s mean and awful and the no-good rotten people who voted for him are just a bunch of biggits and deplorables and they’re crude and stupid and, and, and--! The rhetoric gets kind of overheated at this point.

That seems unlikely to me.

It is. What it does do is say that you should not tell students "we lost", but that they should continue to work for causes they support. It also encourages teachers to not stop kids from swearing when talking about, not to encourage swearing.

Your entire post is a lie. Why do you lie when facts are so easy to check. Actual document from United Educators of SAN Francisco: https://docs.google.com/document/d/15EufIKKQvIaNMDTh2aoOD2QdeKI9JXSy0MfEfh2aKnA/mobilebasic

This thread should be exhibit A for the wingnuts who pshaw the idea of "fake news." Verifiably false clickbait that exists only so wingnuts can run around with their dicks out screeching "LOOK HOW BAD TEH LIBRULZ IS."

Pure garbage, just like everything else Mickey posts. 100% weapons grade BS.

Were you able to see the actual document? I tried following all the links to the actual PDF but I just got a link to the most updated version that didn't work for me. If you're referring to the quotes in the Girls Just Wanna Have Guns blog, you have to admit, it is pretty frikkin biased, but then so are both blogs. At the same time I have no idea who or what the United Educators of San Francisco is and for all I know they have no serious cred with anyone.

Yes, I read and linked to in another post the actual document. I tried through the OP link, got to where you did, then used google.

Edit: UESF looks to be a teachers union: About UESF | United Educators of San Francisco

Nowhere in the document does it say to claim or "let on" that Hillary Clinton won. The lesson plan is pretty anti-Trump, but the claims made in the OP are bogus.

Say it ain't so.

Good grief, I'm sorry but that is pretty bad and highly politically biased. If that's acceptable, then pretty much every political opinion should be allowed to be taught in school.

A couple things to note: it is not a requirement to use the "lesson plan". It is from a private group, so they can be biased. I find parts to be pretty bad(though some makes sense), but at least I know(and now you do too) what it actually says, which is not what the OP claims. Until you have facts, you cannot rationally debate the merits of something.

It's most definitely biased, no doubt about it. That said, it doesn't say what the OP says it does.

In what way do you find it to be worse?

It's a union (thanks for the link Redress). That explains everything. They can put out there whatever they want, but I don't think they should have some special voice in what the kids are taught.

As I say, good link. They actually address the lesson plan in question and provide their email address.

We welcome your thoughts about all of these issues and the perspectives of our students, their families, and all San Francisco residents. Please send an email to ask-uesf [at] uesf [dot] org (ask-uesf@uesf.org) with any comments you might have.

Kinda hope they get an earful.

Either way, it's a bunch of liberal dopes, teaching the wrong things!

Yeah, working for causes you support is such a horrible message...

And why did you find it necessary to lie so egregiously in the OP?
