Fake/False stories Election Aftermath Edition

The cringe is real.

An employee of CNN was caught supplying HRC with questions that were to be asked in Presidential Debates.
Their credibility isn't perfect.

Now they're telling us that these goofball tabloid stories cost Hillary Clinton votes, perhaps swayed the election? How is CNN any more relevant than Fox at this point?

Nobody. But just because it's not "conservative" doesn't make it de facto "liberal."

But their writers are liberal, and that fact influences their work. Their content manager and main writer, Kim Lacapria, used to write for the Inquisitr. Much of her work at the Inquisitr has been pulled from the web, but enough remains to tell that she is decidedly liberal.

Do her liberal leanings make it impossible for her to be objective?

I saw it among our recruits in the Army, in the late 70's our technical manuals took on the new look format which was basically a text step and a picture/drawing that showed the action to be taken, along with the lowering of intelligence scores (GT) for highly technical jobs. At the same time in the public schools a D became a passing grade, it was a failure in my day. In the business world (high tech is mine) I see recent college grads that do not really understand their field yet they have that diploma. Today we have even stopped teaching cursive writing, really, how do they sign their name, with an X? We learned that lowering the standard was far easier than doing the work of lifting people up to the standard. It is one thing I blame as a cause for the state of many of our Black Brothers and Sisters, when it became of politically convenient to act as if the situation was improving while all along it was getting worse, all of us lost. We kick the can down the road with the best of them, but the Future of this Nation is with our young and if we do not resolve the issue, and real soon, there will be no future. Simply as that.
My Rant of the Week.

Not a bad rant actually, if that's what it might be.

Took hold during the 60's with elimination of core curriculum, to include basic requirements in high school and of a university major, grade inflation to please tuition paying parents and lots more.

It's been since moved along by common cultural factors such as MTV to sit and stare at as it all flashes by piecemeal and didactically.

Millennials now are a socially accepting generation but maybe it's because they're not yet jaded by real life. With the cave man Trump in their lives daily they're gonna get conked by him and dragged into the new swamp Trump is creating.

Reality is it only gets worse.

I don't believe she's objective. Of course it's possible for people to put political preferences aside, I just don't see evidence of Lacapria doing that.

What evidence don't you see? Snopes seems to me to be an equal-opportunity debunker. That's their job.

You had me nodding in agreement, until you went into Trump territory. I just don't see the country being any better off in 4 years under a Clinton White House.

Lacapria writing for the Inquisitr in 2012, prior to joining Snopes:
..as an openly left-leaning individual myself, I share the befuddlement many liberal pundits and newsmen and women seem to express in working out, even now, how Obama may have “ignored” Benghazi or why we are supposed to be so angry that four Americans were tragically killed in an attack on a diplomatic entity in a dangerous zone — a circumstance that is tragic, but not a surprise.

Here's an example of a Snopes writer leaving information out of a story. Writer David Emory debunks a false story about a group of 7 blacks who beat a homeless white man to death in Philadelphia.

At least 1 news source claimed the motive was over the homeless man supporting Donald Trump.

After correctly debunking the Trump connection, Emory states that the real motive was that the white homeless man had attacked a black boy related to the group of blacks.

Other news sites state that the black boy fabricated the story about the white guy hitting him, yet Snopes writer David Emory never says a word about it.

Funny, his job title is 'fact checker'. He debunked the Trump connection to the story, yet left out a key fact, that the attack was actually unprovoked.

He "didn't say a word about it" because that wasn't the topic of the article. That's the best you can do to prove Snopes' "liberal bias"?

Wait.... what???

The point of Emory's article here was to get to the bottom of why the attack actually occured.

Instead, he substitutes another lie in place of the previous one. And its not very difficult to see why Emory chose to lie here.

The only way I can prove the bias at Snopes is by illustrating individual articles like this one, where important facts were omitted to suite the author's bias.
