OK, I find myself a voter without a party.

Liberals are more of states rights on guns. Like Bernie said, what applies well in his rural hunting state of Vermont doesn't go so well with urban centers of Los Angeles and that regions need to apply what works in their area.

While I don't 100% disagree...liberals also tend to be very pro federal government in general. And with an urban center like LA voting for an anti gun person...we would more likely get one in the liberal party.

I wouldn't compromise on a right. That is why the patriot act always bothered me.

I feel your pain as I lean right on most issue but I'm fine with being an independant. I don't want another party to associate with because eventually the same thing will happen. Eventually it will be stereotyped and develope little clicks inside of itself and it will have people telling you what you are or aren't based on their own list. It's that nonsense that caused me to become independent in the first place. Too many people have their list of like 10-12 things they claim you have to support or you aren't (label A) It's just silly, if a new party helps dissolve all parties I'd support it in theory but I'd just like to see independants grow more and more.

There are much more people that agree with you and I on this point.
The constant labeling, insulting, and rush to judgments need to stop.
These actions are divisive and counterproductive.
Any part of inclusion needs voices that can deviate a bit right or left of center, but need to be centered in general, and accepting of those a bit on either side of center.

I have something you might like to read and can send it to you via PM in four parts.

I am awaiting approval from my attorney to let me know it is copyrighted, but an currently protected at this level.

If your PM is open to me, I would like you to read this new party's platform.
I think you will be please with its concept and intent.

It is a new movement/party for political orphans like us.
There are more of us that you think.

I will only send it if you give me permission.
It will come in four separate PMs I feel you will enjoy reading.

I agree and yes I know, seems MOST people are like us in spirit they just tolerate associating with their chosen label more so than us.

I doubt that, the majority of people are like us, its just we aren't the most vocal or represented in the media. People I have known for years and the new people I meet, if politics come up the super majority are all most center with a lean. Most people are stereotypically liberal on social issues and support rights for everybody and they are conservative on some other issues. Extremists don't make up the majorities of this country it just seems that way sometimes because that's what makes news. I don't personally know IRL any lefties that want to ban all guns, I don't personally know IRL any lefties that support abortion hours before it's planned birthdate. I don't know any righties IRL that want to ban all abortions. I don't know any righties IRL that want to lock up gays. Do those people actually exist? They sure do but they are the rare loons. So many people are in the middle with a lean or fit a lot of stereotypes but still have some issues they deviate from. The two party system is stupid and its failing us along with media and elected politicians who pander to media and loons.

Thank you. it is always more polite to ask permission before sending a PM.
This is the name of a new party and its overall platform.
I do not expect 100% agreement, and openly say so.
However, if anyone agrees with 60 to 70%, then this is optimum and more than most.

Four (4) PMs inbound.

I think you will find you are no longer a political orphan.
