Trump Protest Speaker: ‘Make the NRA Regret Giving Us the Right to Bear Arms’

junior Towsif Ahasan “encouraged students to oppose Trump by any means necessary” and quoted him saying “make the NRA regret giving us the right to bear arms.”

(Aside from the ignorance in believing the "NRA gave us the right")

How? By acting out and thereby reinforcing the reasons the rest of us support the right?

More over they are leftists, if the idea of Trump win makes them upset, can you think of how they will react to the sound of gunfire, or recoil, or incoming fire?

So this guy thinks it was the NRA who gave us the second amendment? The Bill of Rights to include the second amendment was ratified and went into effect 15 Dec 1791. The NRA wasn't founded until 1871. So it would have been impossible for the NRA to give us the second amendment.

But with these protesters who lead a very sheltered life on campus, thinking that the NRA was or is responsible for the second amendment doesn't surprise me. Little do they know about the real outside world and apparently history. These folks should just go back to their safe zones where speech is controlled and it is a Trump free area.

Towsif Ahasan addressed the crowd, saying, “What I am interested in is material change. We have to make a difference at the state and local level now. People of color […] matter in New York and Massachusetts, but they matter in Idaho and Kansas too.”

The News reports that Ahasan “encouraged the crowd to stop Trump by any means,” just as the event flier indicated, then they quote him saying, “Exercise your Second Amendment right. Let’s make the NRA regret giving us the right to bear arms.”

I wonder if Towsif Ahasan is an American citizen who is covered under the 2nd Amendment

Besides the ignorance of the comment, I don't see what the problem is regarding exercising the right to bear arms. It's just the NRA has nothing to do with it. JEEZ. If you wanna carry a gun, go carry a gun.

Just point out how violent leftists are, and how they have been working against the 2nd Amendment.

Leftist are reality challenged, this is true.

Given that the Democrats have made the NRA the targeted boogieman for anti-2nd Amendment rhetoric, it's not hard to understand how some folks that are ignorant of the facts (or just attended a public school without any additional sources of knowledge regarding civics) would believe that the NRA gave us the right.

Wonder how many people will condemn this statement who defended "second amendment remedies."

Spare us all the condescending history lesson. One moron defines the whole crowd to you? It's fine if you want to seize upon the words of this idiot to show that every liberal is not a constitutional scholar but to imply that this dolt's opinion is shared by all liberal college students is a bit ironic coming from a conservative. After all, Donald Trump has, with a straight face, uttered some of the most inane BS I've ever heard and the joke is that his supporters fit a white, Christian, anti-intellectual mold. By his own words he loves the uneducated and they love him. At least the students are trying to learn. They're not resolved to ignorance.

So, unless you're willing to be considered only as smart as the dumbest conservative who ever spoke into a microphone, you should lighten up or risk association with some of the worlds largest dip****s. The right has, for a very long time, been home turf for those who reject modern knowledge. That's an uncomfortable truth that shines in our eyes every time Trump's lips part.

I'm a Johnson voter, Trump is not conservative and most of his lifelong held political views are fairly liberal. He was akin to the medicine man or snake oil salesman from the old west with his bottles of cure all elixir. He was an opportunist and has become president. If you guys can't nominate someone who could beat this guy, then your party is truly in trouble. All it took was a decent nominee and you couldn't come up with one.

As for the college kids, more and more are showing their true lack of knowledge. Only feelings count, not reality. Most of them spouting this stuff didn't even bother to vote. If they did, perhaps we wouldn't be having this conversation. When Democrats or those who affiliate or identify with the Democratic Party outnumber Republicans by a 32-27% margin according to Gallup. They should be winning these elections by an average of five points depending on how the independents vote. Apparently Hillary Clinton didn't give them reason enough to get off their dead butts to vote.

.....You mad bro? You are mad we are winning, and do not value your opinion, views, or even existence.

The left looks for quotes they can use against trump supporters also

I hope the morons we see in the news at these protests do not represent our best and brightest

Because if they do we are doomed

LOL. Ironically, that is exactly what I'm mad about and you're too ignorant to be ashamed of it. Admittedly, I am foolish to expect our time to be any different than it's ever been, as those at the tip of the evolutionary spear must forever drag behind them the unwilling, drool-faced throwbacks of the past. Zeig heil, Trumpf, I guess.

^^^ THERE IT IS !!! ^^^

I was waiting for the "just like Hitler" comment to arise, and here it is after only 17 posts.
Godwin's law is alive and well.
They ALWAYS come from the left.
They ALWAYS appear when they have lost their point or argument.
They ALWAYS think they have an affect when they only show how ignorant the speaker is of real history.
and...
They ALWAYS say it, over and over again, expecting different results.
This is the definition of INSANITY.

Uhhh, I didn't say "just like Hitler" and didn't do any of that other crap. So, there must be a flip-side to Godwin's law that speculates that any time fascism is mentioned by the left, there is the canned response of righties that belies their insecurity about their own inhuman beliefs. It's almost like you know how similar the NAZIs were to your own leaders and respond to that discomfort with a predictably ironic denial. We can call it the "RetiredNsmilin law of fascist denial". Congrats, the right finally inspired a creation that isn't a flaming cross.

By the way, the definition of insanity is, according to Einstein (you wouldn't know him, he was a Jew), is to do the same thing over and over and expect a different result. By that standard, prayer and voting could both be considered insane. Invoking Godwin's law is another example.
