I was watching the show "Renegade" last night (one of my old favorites I sometimes just put on). The very first episode mentioned Trump. It's from the 90s. The comment was something like "Donald Trump, a white man raised in a mansion, eats caviar and loses millions." (The funny thing is that I skipped ahead to an episode in the third season, and they mentioned Hillary Clinton in that one.)

I've seen it quite a bit. Even had a guy who admitted he had been lying just before he left (everyone knew it, already). It's interesting, though, that there are some who really are true believers.

"Paid" posters are there less for swaying opinion than to shut down contradictory opinions and keep them from taking root. Someone says something nice about X, paid poster shows up to derail the conversation by either belittling those who agree X is nice or by posting a bunch of narratives that contradict that X is nice. EIther way, the idea is to prevent the idea that X is nice from taking hold in the group.

I do know there will be quite the effort by liberal/socialist progressives to keep the pot boiling by attempting to paint those who supported President Elect Trump in the worst possible light.

One way to do that is to spread out on the blogs posting extreme views, just as David Brock did with his boiler room of bloggers.

It's a rather transparent effort.

On both sides for sure. I would suspect some do it just to get a rise out of people. Others I guess needed a job and do what they were paid to do.

My radar starts pinging when the most extreme views are posted, especially among someone who is new.

They are and how is that working out? Its blowing what little believably the media has left...Leftist are on other hand? They are losing their minds and he has not even taken office yet..I mean their were not all there to begin with, but they are melting down in numbers I could only dream of.

Why is it so hard for you to actually debate this issue and respond to questions, the confrontations of your inconsistency, hypocrisy, and dishonesty that you have presented? Did you expect to come here and just soapbox and have people just blindly accept what you said? The people on this site are some of the smartest, politically, on the internet. Yeah, seen it on both sides. Mostly, it's to get a rise out of people. That's the best way to know who they are... they drop some bomb in a thread and don't or can't defend it.

Perhaps. But it's been my experience, whether paid or not, they use their posts to try and add legitimacy to the stereotypes of who/what they are pretending to be.

There was a poster this election cycle who used a character from Star Wars in his handle. 10-15 posts a day, week after week after week. All anti-Trump, all with links to the typical left biased websites.

Then they suddenly vanished. This poster, as with others like "him" wasn't trying to shut down contradictory opinion. They were pushing campaign narratives and spreading disinformation. A true David Brock boiler room blogger.

Meanwhile all of Wall Street's been waltzing through the doors of the Tower in Midtown Manhattan for government jobs, and he's likely to install nearly a half-dozen of the very guys he told you he was taking down! The bank stocks are rallying & up 11% since the election. One week! All-of-a-sudden, after meeting with him and lining-up key government jobs - the bankers and Wall Street love him!

What I do in particular has a massive amount of funding sink, the majority of the budget is very much goes into the R&D to create the tools we use to better gather and analyze intelligence from enemy units. It's not "sexy" as a National Defense funding Trump would want to see, that much I'm sure.

More excuses and dishonesty. You've been questioned: you ran from the questions. Your hypocrisy in your OP has been exposed: you've run from that discussion. You've made false claims about positions, something that was proven: you refused to admit it and have continued to be dishonest about what people have said. Your hypocrisy and contradiction between you and your position has been demonstrated: you have refused to address it. Basically, your thread has been a complete failure and you have compounded that by refusing to respond to any attempts at debate. This is a VERY poor start at a debate site.
