Two days after the election, Sen. Elizabeth Warren told the AFL-CIO executive council, “I will work with” Donald Trump.

Bernie Sanders: “I and other progressives are prepared to work with him.”

The Washington Post: “Pelosi says Democrats are willing to work with Trump.

...this burst of Trumpian bonhomie comes with the word “if” attached: They’ll work with Donald Trump . . . if he becomes one of them. Which is to say, if he adopts the progressive policies and attitudes that just got the Democratic Party wiped out, from the presidency down to dogcatcher.

“If Republicans want to force through massive tax cuts,” thundered Sen. Warren, “we will fight them every step of the way.”

For the Democrats, America’s daily life of work, profit and loss across 50 states is essentially an alien phenomenon that sends them revenue, the way a pipeline transmits natural gas. This pipeline fuels their “economy,” which is the thousands and thousands of spending and line items in the $4 trillion federal budget.

Some would call this redistribution. The Democrats would call it their life’s work. Truth is, it isn’t working for them anymore.

There is no possibility that the Democrats are going to gain back enough of these Trump voters unless someone in their party stands up and shouts that these emperors of “economic fairness” aren’t wearing any clothes.

The problem for Demokrats is... they are not going to admit their life's work is a failure.

Socialism fails everywhere.

Doesn't matter, they're going to double down on it.

No one is asking for full on socialism, hell most cons don't even know what that word really means or how it is applied. If most cons did they wouldn't keep crying "socialism" all the time.

Working with him is different than rolling over for him. If he ends up pursuing some hard right social conservatism, you can expect a lot of push back. If he pursues a more moderate agenda, I would hope certain elements of the left stop trying to turn everything Trump says/does into the next worst thing evar (typo intentional) since the last worst thing evar and maybe try and make the most of what we ended up with, or at least position themselves to mitigate/prevent some damage.

These ..... exetremists (?) certainly need to accept that immigration reform is very likely to happen in some form now, it was a front-center issue for Trump for most of the campaign season. Publicly announcing that, as mayor of whatever city, you refuse to cooperate and illegals are welcome to take refuge in your city without fear of deportation compounds the problems to come. Again, immigration reform is likely coming one way or the other. They can go full rebellion and lose dramatically and attempt to shift blame on Trump for the results, or act like adults and influence the reform so its more humane. Support securing the border, but fight for a path to citizenship. Let them stay if they are willing to cooperate and work and pay taxes like the rest of us are supposed to. Choke out the illegal labor market, but in a way that makes transitioning into more legitimate practices easier. We don't need to ship people out in rail cars, but by going full rebellion (retard) all you do is keep the citizenry divided and polarized, and leave the feds with fewer choices that involve more and more physical force, and I have to wonder if that might be the intent all along. Immigration reform of some kind is almost certain to happen now, fighting the very concept at the expense of federal funding for your city won't accomplish anything but the amount of debt your city has to carry.

Democrats have fractured a bit. Some splinter groups have yet to start thinking again after last Tuesday. I'm hoping brains start rebooting soon, but if they just shut up I'll take that too. Or maybe we can overturn the EC, yeah! Sign this petition to make the EC vote for who we want!

Demokrats have been inching their way towards socialism while denying it.

It's how socialists work.

They're liars first and foremost. They have to be because nobody in their right mind would vote for their idiocy.
