The Trump campaign and several GOP members of congress are talking about a registry of Muslims. Trump was asked if that registry didn't sound like the registering of Jews in Nazi Germany before WWII, but he refused to answer. Is registering all Muslims in the country okay with you? Many Cons I have talked to complain about the Federal Government trying to get them to register their guns, but seem okay with registering human beings. I guess I am agaisnt such registry because where does it stop. Are Jews next and after them Catholics, or even those who voted Democratic in past elections. I have often heard the NRA talk about a slippery slope, well, if there was ever a slippery slope, this is it. People often wrongly compare politico's to Hitler, but this action seems to get this country closer to the way Hitler ran his country than anything since we locked up Japanese Americans during WWII.

The problem with your question lies in the first sentence.

President Elect Trump has not called for a registry of Muslims. He has spoken about Muslims attempting to immigrate from terror prone countries, but I have never heard him speak of a National Registry of Muslims.

Perhaps you could provide a link to support your claim about Trump, and those of the GOP members you are referring to.

I don't understand why Muslims would remain in a country that hates them that much. The world is large, and since American Muslims rank high in academic attainment and income strata, they wouldn't have a problem establishing a life elsewhere. Let's see how well the U.S will do once cousin ****ers and hillbillies are in charge.

No. I'm against that for sure.

The U.S. government already has a registry of all of the people in the USA.

It's called the U.S.Census and it gets taken every ten years as required by the U.S. Constitution.

Anyone who doesn't like it should talk with the guys who wrote the Constitution.

Make 'em wear GPS bracelets too. LOL!!

1) That is not a "registry."

2) The Constitution says nothing other than a simple count shall be taken. No data, no addresses, no names, no demographics, nothing other than a simple count, for no purpose other than apportioning Representatives.

Since the very first census in 1790, how has it been done?

you need to do your homework dude. catch up.

the only ones that hate muslims are the right wing extremists.

No a registry of Muslim citizens would not be okay. I'm assuming a registry of non-citizen residents and visitors exists for purposes of making sure immigration laws are complied with and that's fine.

And while you're working on that one, how about you tell us how your "no data, no demographics" worked to apportion representatives accordingly.

I tend to believe that that is not alright. As a matter of fact it is very, very close to being illegal under the Constitution.

1) Who cares? It's still not a "registry," and it's still not a constitutional requirement to collect anything but a number of people.

2) I have no idea what you think your second question is even asking.

I attend mosque every so often, but it is more of a family or friend event for me. I am not sure if I should register should there be a registry, but I would avoid it if I could. I imagine we would go on a monitoring list. I think I would end up getting scrutinized anyway, because of the people I am closely connected to.

I guess you're not able to answer this one: Since the very first census in 1790, how has it been done? Did I stump you?

2) I have no idea what you think your second question is even asking.

If you'd thought about if for about 2 seconds you'd know why it would have been impossible to apportion representatives correctly using your "no data, no demographics" system.

Apparently "who cares, it has nothing to do with what I said" stumps YOU.

And yet, the Constitution requires only a count. It says who to count. But it requires only a count of those people.

Look, I'm sure you think you're making a sizzling point of some kind here, but whatever it is, it's only apparent to you.

It all depends on the prizes, I think. I wouldn't bother registering for a coffee maker, but that's just me. If you've never had a coffee maker, you could be induced to go for it.

We should (1) register all Imams as foreign agents, (2) demand that all private schools be open to monitoring for hate speech, and (3) demand that teaching be in English in all schools consistent with Item 2.

It has everything to do with what I said, and 240 years of history. And the "as such manner as they shall by Law direct" portion.

How could they account "who" without knowing "who" is "who" to correctly apportion? I guess I shouldn't be surprised you're not getting it.

Sure. It has everything to do with what YOU said. But it has nothing to do with what I said.

Uh, pretty simply -- if someone is not among those intended to be counted, they . . . don't count them. WHEW. My God, that one made me sweat, it was such an effort.

Do you or do you not have a social security number? Or are you not a citizen of The United States of America?
