Perhaps Jimmy Carter will give him a job picking peanuts...

Nah, he'll make millions giving speeches and sitting on the boards of companies...possibly those very ones that funded his campaigns. That's what typically happens, anyway.

Don't know, don't care. But he's not actually leaving Washington for another two years while his daughter is still in school.

Obama is going to be the chosen one of the discredited press, and will be the fly in the propaganda ointment the socialist Progressive left is planning to spread across the print and broadcast media.

Agreed. His speaking tour is gonna be a lot more lucrative than Dubya's but not as much as Bill's. Love him or hate him, Bill Clinton was a master politician. Obama may is a great speaker but he's too "intellectual". Despite his intelligence he had a mediocre presidency while Bill's presidency was just flat out good.

Possibly a "journalist" with one of the three big networks? ABC, CBS or NBC? Ha ha, I kid I kid. Who cares? Whatever he does, his adoring press will still be making sure to keep him in the headlines. ;)

Move to palm desert california, and show up every so often to complain about whoever is in office then retreat again to palm desert.

It would be nice if he took a classy page out of the book of GW Bush and just stayed out of "it" once done with his term in office. Slim chance though, I just watched his press conference today citing all his so called accomplishments. I suspect what he will do upon leaving office is try to burnish that brass bed pan until it looks (to him) like gold. :wink3:

Him hiding in palm desert would be the closest to that, maybe hear him on tv every so often. I do not care if he complaigns as long as does not turn into a political pundit as a means to remain in the spotlight.

He will be busy though up to the first year trump is in office, despite all the briefings he will likely get alot of phone calls since he spent 8 years there vs trumps zero, and when you need answers on anything white house, the best source is the person who ran it when it happened.

If recent Presidents can be a guide: start a foundation and a semi-think tank. At some point his efforts will probably be aimed squarely at young African American males. I wouldn't be surprised if he, Eric Holder, Arne Duncan, and John King are going to be collaborating on a lot of projects.
