Secretary of State John Bolton?

Why be reasonable when you(F) have been taught all your life (true with the young) that the ends justify the means and that bullying works so long as one pins the victim label on themselves?

This is all just such a waste of time. The man hasn't yet been President-Elect for 96 HOURS yet. At the rate they're going, these poor souls aren't going to make it to the Inauguration. ;)

If we are not going to allow our leaders to take even one step before thrashing them then we are never going to go anywhere.

What you are looking at are violent self absorbed twits who put themselves and their egos above all others and all else.

This is where WAY TOO MANY Americans are @2016

The good news is that most Americans aren't behaving this way.

Do you know the best news?....huuge numbers of older people and I think middle aged people are watching these almost exclusively young twit/thugs who object to honoring the results of an election and are thinking "OMG, what have we DONE!!".

We have for way too long done very poor jobs of parenting, and the chickens have now come home to roost.

Maybe we can now conduct reforms.

This is why nobody who is still under construction till the age of 25 should be allowed to vote.

After 25, only if you show that you are supporting yourself. Tax returns that prove it would do fine.

Then, it would be a diffferent world.

Almost forgot: only US-born citizens. No foreigners.

Really right??!!.....these twits tell us that they dont think that they should be expected to act like grown ups till age 26 so fine, that is when they should get the vote.

Logical yes?

Yet we can send them to fight and die at 18.

So someone retired on SS o Students ort even housewives cannot vote by you criteria.

Not a better world.

Many of those born in other Nations have been citizens longer than you have been alive and probably done more for the Nation, so sorry by legal immigrants are what this Nation is made up of, even your family.

Simple. Don't send them to fight and die. There was no reason to do it since 1945.

Students live like they are in Disneyland. They live on somebody's dime, drink, screw and are having jolly good time. I don't want them to tell us how to run the country because their logical brains are still growing.

"Housewives", by law, earn the hunsbands' half, so no problem. Housewives on welfare are a drag on the society and should not be allowed to vote because they don't have a clue how to manage their own lives.

SS receipients are not on welfare. They are receiving income they earned in the past. So, no problem there.

Foreign-born persons should never be allowed to vote, hold office, work for the feds or any place where they can be spies. Chinese nationals working for the FBI is the ultimate in American-style insanity, as a recent case would suggest.

Anything else?

Yes, You know where to file that.

Yes, You know where to file that.

Please do tell. How about here where you can read it with relative ease.

BTW, shouldn't it be "We, the People, get the Government we deserve"?

Have no idea whether or not that's true. Neither do you. But.

If you think Trump intends to appoint a bunch of KNOW-nothing frat brothers to key positions in order to keep his promise to his constituents? You are foolish and a dreamer.

He will appoint people who have the political KNOW-how he lacks...whose advice he can trust. And then he will LEAD THEM. Sharing his vision and expecting his appointees to carry it out.

TRUE LEADERSHIP. Apparently the Left, or at least you, isn't familiar with the definition.

Bolton's role in all of the disasters of the Bush Catastrophe are a matter of record, Maggie. And that last part of your comment is wishful thinking at its finest and not at all based on any evidence. You might be right but I hope you don't bet on it.

Bolton is smart, well educated and has the right experience. Of the younger members of Bush team he was one of the less capable and with what seemed the least grasp of world affairs.

IOW, he was, as were the rest of the warmongering neocons littering the Bush Catastrophe, one of the pushers of the Great Iraq War Failure that we're still dealing with.

Bolton as SecState? :2rofll: No ****ing way. LOL! Even Trump isn't that insane. Someone is having fun with this. It's just a joke.

Let's hope so. I wouldn't bet on anything Trump might or might not do. He's a loose cannon until otherwise demonstrated.

Nah, I think Bolton would be a choice being pushed by the establishment. Having lost the election, the establishment is quickly looking for ways to creep back into the picture and reassert itself.

Gingrich is skilled all around - he's far more capable than Kerry - and he's not a prisoner of establishment dogma.

I dont know this guy, but maybe post Iraq some learning happened.

That can happen.

He has his own PAC and writes regularly for hard right publications like Human Evenst and Weekly Standard so it's easy to find out what his thinking is today. Here's a snippet from just a month ago that offers a pretty clear clue:
The slow-rolling Obama offensive against ISIS in Iraq and Syria has really cost us and could cost us and could cost us further in very human terms.
That sure sounds like a call for a repeat of some "shock and awe" to me. BTW, that "slow-rolling" offensive is winning and at the very low cost of US lives (as of this writing I think only one US serviceman has been killed). The Iraqi Army and Peshmerga are taking on the brunt of the ground attack and that's as it always should have been.

By golly, that righting bar for "competence" is low. Bush was right about the "soft bigotry of low expectations" at least as far as his party was concerned.

You realize that none of the founding fathers were US citizens by birth since they were born as subjects of the crown of England. Maybe another criteria is knowing something of our history but that would exclude people like you. I'm almost surprised you didn't put "and whites only" into that comment. I hope that wasn't just an overlooked.

Do you really think that mouthing a populist belief of yesteryear is helpful to understanding the future?

I think Chief Diplomat to the U.N. suits him but he might not want the job.

So much for isolationism and disentangling the U.S from regional conflicts. John Bolton is the country's top neocon that was the embodiment of the Bush's era of interventionism and the aspiration for a worldwide American Empire. You'd expect such a figure to be nominated for the DoD, but nominating him for the DoS - the diplomatic arm of the government that is meant to put breaks on the military branch and seek conflict resolution by means other than military force - signifies an agenda of all-out war.

What is it about reality that you don't get? These have been essentially Der Dumbpster's words during the whole campaign about the Bush admin and the Iraq war. Ferchrissakes, join up why doncha?
