What really did the Democrats in[W:29]

Re: What really did the Democrats in

This apology sounds about as sincere as the last one.

Maybe, your just having a problem with what I'm apologizing for, and that is your issue. Not mine.

...and the GOP establishment as well.

The result of this election didn't have as much to do with Hillary or Trump as most people would like to think. Sure, he was anti-establishment and she was the epitome of a corrupt establishment. That certainly DID have a lot to do with it but when you get right down to brass tacks this election was about something different.

Donald Trump won the primary and then the general because a hell of a lot of voters recognized that the political class had no faith in the American public.

These stuffed shirts in DC had decided that they could take the American people for granted. They were content to chop us up into various demographics then pit one "class" against another. They told us that the other guys were going to screw us if we didn't support this set of ideas or that lofty goal.

They kept on telling us we couldn't "win" unless they were there to support us.

Well, here's the deal. We are AMERICANS! We win or lose on OUR terms, not those of some douchebag who waves a flag, cheers us on and then bails when the going gets tough. If you want to lead us then you do so from the front. If you want us to get our hands dirty then your hands better have that same dirt on them. If we're going to take a beating then you had damned well better be there taking your fair share.

The political class constantly put themselves above the fray. They talked strategy and principles then, when their plans didn't work out, they started pointing fingers. That's not leadership and that's not teamwork. It's goldbricking and Americans don't stand for that too terribly long.

When an American is left leaderless or finds himself suffering the results of shoddy leadership HE takes the lead. That's what we have always been about and it's why we have been successful as a nation.

So, to all the sniveling, whining, despondent Hillary supporters, SUCK IT UP!!! You're Americans as much as any of the rest of us are so start acting that way. Figure out what you did wrong, fix it and try again. The world didn't end. You just lost and losing is nothing more than an opportunity to do it better the next time.

To all the Trump supporters, congratulations. You got your day at the 50 yard line but if you just stand there patting yourselves on the back the Hillary people are going to kick your ass next weekend. You may have won but you looked like **** doing it so get your asses in gear, hit the weight room, study the books and get ready for the next one because I guaran-damn-tee you it's coming faster than you think it is.

What's so depressing about this 'pep talk' is that this country is up against staggering problems, and you want to reduce it to a football conference. Poorly done.

Re: What really did the Democrats in

I think the people have had enough of the Bush's and the Clinton's. Both parties should have seen this when Obama came out of nowhere and trounced Hillary. She was not the candidate the democratic party needed. The republican party got lucky because no one they had picked would have beat her and would have been destroyed by candidate the people could get behind. We need a strong leader and Trump may be just the ticket. However the rich and powerful still own both parties and and that puts them in control of 2/3 of our government plus the media is their trump card. However Trump seems to know how to negate their trump card.
