We have the strongest military in the world by far. We don't need to increase spending. Tax cuts do not necessarily increase revenue. Cutting the estate tax isn't going to do anything. In the short term tax cuts always decrease revenue. It's a bit like gambling. If you're willing to lose revenue up front maybe you'll get it back or maybe you'll lose more.

The Demokrats are in a world of hurt. They have no leaders.

Congress is pretty empty, and Governorships are meager.

The military has been neglected, and we need to be better than all other militaries. It's constitutional spending.

Where we don't need to spend is all the socialist goo. We can gut and slash there.

As far as taxes...

Closely paraphrasing JFK... it's a paradoxical truth that lowering taxes raises revenues.

Obama showed us what doesn't work.

He's been treated the same, and is inheriting a country with economic and foreign policies brain farts by the Demokrats similar to what Reagan inherited.

As for what Trump will be... he has a great shot at being another Reagan. So many similar issues:

Economic. Taxes.
Foreign Policy.
Military rebuilding.
Inheriting a stagnant economy.
The feeling America's best days are behind her... before he was elected.

Soooo many similarities.

What is your evidence that the military is neglected? One SSBN is the third largest superpower in the world when out on patrol. We have 14 of them.

Call it constitutional spending all you want, lowering taxes and increasing spending simultaneously is stupid. A more modern example would be George W. Bush. Obama hasn't been a rockstar by any means, but we are in a slowly improving economy. Again, look at Bush.

Ive been reading comments on Huffington Post and their anger is based on ignorance and partisan driven talking points.

I have no sympathy for someone who to this day pushes propaganda while people suffer

I hope they reign in the jackass for the good of the Nation. After all I supported them with my vote to remain in office, Sam Johnson, I want sanity and experience minds running things.

I have read absolutely nothing on any of the Liberal webs sites 5 minutes of listening to them on NBC was enough to know where that was going. They ran Hillary, it is their fault they lost, not to mention the fact that the Dems have not exactly saved the world in the last 8 years.
The Dems are not the ones under the gun now, the Repubs are. The Dems will go off and lick their wounds and try and get their house in order they have a few years to work on it. The Repubs on the other hand hold all the cards, and this time they will be either required to make good on the talk and do what those that elected them sent them there to do, if they do not fulfill their promises there will be Hell to pay.
Or, we will all go off and live our lives like nothing has happened, and all is well in the land of OZ, or is that Rome..........

Been saying for quite awhile now that the Democrat lemmings would follow Obama (come Hillary) over a cliff, and they did.

Trump just needs to stick to his promises, save for trade barriers. No matter what he does or how successful his policies and changes are,he will be vilified by the Left.

So sure the GOP is under the Gun, but they know no matter what they do the Democrats will be trying to spin it into failure

Reminds me of Harry Heids comments when he claimed that Bush's surge in Iraq had failed.

I am going to lay my hopes with the Republicans in the House and Senate to reign in Trump, I helped put them there and expect them to run this Nation with a clear head. Sorry, until trump proves me wrong I do not, and will not, trust him, period.

Instincts are important, and I walked Point, and one should listen to them, mine say Beware.

Uber-socialists. They will continue to crow on and on about jacking up taxes. They will continue to pander to the dregs of society. They will continue to prop up career politicians, bred for the presidency, with more skeletons in their closet than Arlington National Cemetery.

If they were smart, they'd champion a true man of the people, with a clean track record, and not just a puppet of the party.

I've kinda come to the conclusion that the left vilifies everything that isn't theirs.
If it's not their candidate, their bills, their ideology, their agenda. If it's not theirs, they vilify it.

And who needs that on an on going basis? This constant stream of negativism, divisiveness, vitriol.

I suggest best if you ignore them.
