Well, it wasn't a total loss. We got legal pot in CA, MA, and NV.

I really hope Donald Trump doesn't go after recreational marijuana.
What is even his position on weed? Nobody's asked him.

Good question. He could really go either way...I could see him supporting full legalization nationwide, and I could see him supporting a prohibition nationwide. The guy is an unknown.
Good. We're gonna need it.
Now that he has won I HOPE he is going to make choices based on what is most popular. There are certainly problems with that but I think it is our best case scenario. At the least I think he will let the states handle it the way they want.

Pot shouldn't be anyone's priority. Education, national security, abortion, illegal immigration, health care, etc....All bigger issues. IF this is a "win" for progressives, than the win list is very superficial.
Obama was particularly horrible on recreational marijuana when you compare his actions with his rhetoric.
States are desperate for new things to tax and regulate. People would never tolerate a potato tax but cheer when offered the chance to pay a weed tax.

And florida (effectively). Hey at least we can agree on something. Gotta love states giving the ATF the finger.

See...pot brings everyone together!
Im just in it for the freedom. I have no interest in doing it. I just dont want govt telling me what I can and can not smoke.
I thought he actually had a mandate to solve our alleged lack of black leadership problem, by not having to incarcerate so many of them, due to a useless drug war. I guess it was not that easy or simple.
Obama launched the initiative where he would address any concern that reached a certain number of e-signatures via White House petition. Literally the first petition to be addressed by Obama in a matter of days was taking a softer stance on marijuana laws. Obama's reaction was to say "lolno" and to hell with you. Obama is either wildly ignorant of why people want to end the unnecessary War On Drugs or he just doesn't care about the lives destroyed by it.
And let's not forget, the White House could very easily stop cracking down on federal enforcement of marijuana use but they Choose not to.
