Would Things Have Been Different If Bernie Was The Nominee?

What is Trump not moderate on?!

We can start with immigration and the proposal of the largest deportation in modern world history. Then we can move on to cyber-security, torture, terrorism, etc.

You're wrong Geoist.
1. He wants to deport 2-3M first, criminal offenders. No different than Obama did!!
2. He then wants to improve border security to reduce the number of illegal immigrants (prevention so we're not in the same boat again every 4 years). Which Obama should have done.
3. He then wants to discuss what to do about the reamining.

Moderate. I suggest every time you feel enraged about Trump, if its on a POLICY issues, look up his positions first.
Trump may be the worst president in all of U.S. history, he just hasn't started yet so calm down and educate yourself, or just don't discuss it if you don't know.

I am aware of where he wants to start. The key word is 'start.' He has made it clear time and again he seeks to deport every undocumented immigrant from the country. Will that become his official policy for the longterm? We'll see. At the moment, we can only refer to what he said on the campaign trail.

Every president wants to improve border security. That isn't the extreme position. Putting up a huge wall across the entire border and saying Mexico will pay for it is the extreme position.

He already said what he will do with the remaining. Are you saying now that Trump's position is pro-amnesty?

This is quite the ironic statement considering how you said "[Sanders] would destroy the U.S. as we know it."

During the primaries I voted for a candidate from one of the two parties for the very first time. I voted for Sanders. And while I do not consider myself a democratic socialist, I liked how he was not corrupted by lobbyist money the way other candidates were. Having 50% approval rating from Republicans in his own state was also a positive sign. Naturally, now, many of us are thinking what could have been. No email scandals. No Benghazi. No Bill Clinton. Just a campaign about the issues. The DNC worked its hardest to make sure it was not to be. But as we learned from this election, enthusiasm for an anti-establishment candidate was the kicker.

Was Bernie a better candidate for this cycle? Let me count the ways.

Maybe, who knows. My guess it may have turned out the same way, many Indes and even Dems knew him to be an Ubber-Socialist and as such the Nation could not afford his ideas, I would not have supported him any more than trump or Hillary.
