Perspective. As much as I hate to do it...

A vote for anyone besides Trump, is a vote for Hillary clinton.

Actually, that isn't how elections work, Grim. She only gets to take credit for a vote if it's actually cast for her. She doesn't lay claim to any vote for someone other than her.

I voted for Marco Rubio in my primary. That doesn't mean I also voted for Rand Paul and Chris Christie. It means I voted for Marco Rubio, and only Marco Rubio.

You folks on the left are incapable of understanding what the Trump candidacy represents. It not about Trump, it's the change he represents.

Carry on.

I really hope I'm not supposed to feel sympathy for people who feel bad because they decided to vote for Trump, a disgusting excuse for a human being who is worse than Hillary on every single metric of comparison.

You should feel bad. You should feel very, very bad, really the worst.

You work for The Onion?

Oh, there's nothing funny about the number of people whom the GOP conditioned to unconditionally hate any candidate the Democrats happen to put forward while wilfully blinding themselves to the very same faults in their own candidate. There's nothing funny at all about the number of people who ignore every last awful lie, statement, and action of Trump's since the GOP spent the last several years demonizing the presumptive 2016 Dem nominee.....

Things tend to go very very wrong when a large percentage of a given population believes that particular brand of propaganda.

You actually believe that Trump stands for "change"?

He has spent his entire life bragging about how he uses wealth to buy political favors. That's being part of the machine he claims to oppose. That's the literal definition of "crony capitalism" - you remember, it's that thing the right spent the last 8 years accusing Obama of?

You picked literally the worst answer to Hillary. The worst.

I'd have voted for Huntsman over Obama and I'd gladly do the same over Hillary. But somehow "reasonable conservative without extremist ideas, who isn't a typical lying sack of **** and actually seems to believe what he says" is a disqualification in GOP primary land.

The GOP has to select an uncontrollably compulsive liar whose primary attack on his opponent is that she is a....

....a liar.

It has to select the very definition of crony capitalism, a master of using wealth to buy political favors (especially tax-related ones), whose primary claim to qualification is that he doesn't play the political game at all.

And it's all because Trump made sure to say the brashest, most absurd, and most extreme negative things about Hillary. That's the only reason he's the candidate. It isn't about his non-existent ideas. It isn't about his supposed qualifications. And it has precisely zero to do with Hope & Change (which is apparently a COOL thing for the right now that one of their guys is selling it, and not the butt of every joke as it was in 2008).

Does this go deeper for "folks on the right" (if we're generalizing)? Did facts kill all your relatives and now you've got to go on a Kaiser Soze grade vendetta against them?

Change?

Real or imagined?

Considering the "change" Barack brought us, I wouldn't hold your breath awaiting change.

That's where not being a mind slave to the two party system really helps give perspective. Hillary just as a disgusting person as Trump by almost every metric, except one. Hillary has all the connections and party support she needs to continue to **** on whatever office she holds. Trump doesn't have any off that, and not even much for party support. Additionally, it is Hillary that's pushing us to a new Cold War, which was a really bad time in history, which was the breeding ground for many of the issues we had to deal with today (e.g. Al Qaida/Taliban being trained and supported by the CIA to fight Russia).

It doesn't matter, though. Hillary is going to win, and I just hope she can be blocked from starting stuff up with Russia. I just think that is unlikely because there are plenty of GOPers that want that as well, to include Pence.

But he is not and does not represent the GOP.

I'm sure they'll be making this dubious claim for years to come.

In future years, when you're insisting Trump never represented you or your party, I would leave out the part where you voted for him.

I hate it, but I'm in a position where I don't like, nor support either Trump or Clinton, so it comes down to something else on this election. I have to decide which candidate I think would be worse for the country and cast my vote against them. That candidate in my opinion would be Hillary Clinton, so I'm left with no other choice but to vote for the only candidate with any chance of defeating her... That would be Donald Trump.

It sucks, but that's the reality that myself and many others are faced with tomorrow, who don't want that lying criminal and her husband in the White House.

.

ROFL. I think they'd do that either way, since both suck. But thank you for validating I'm making a better choice.

Hillary may be flawed, but I doubt she would ever be caught dead mocking people with disabilities....well, except that big basket of deplorables, I guess.

So sad to see so many "conservatives" betray whatever principle(s) they still cling to by voting against someone they have an irrational hate for.
Time to cower and slink back to your safe spaces for the next four years.

Says someone who probably supports and will vote for a woman totally devoid of principles, morals and decency.

I agree with your first statement, but disagree with the second.

You sound a bit Machiavellian though, which is fine with me (sometimes). ;)

But HRC will not be leaving (if elected) anytime soon; the Senate elect will be closely split come Wednesday, and there's no way the GOP are picking-up 10 seats in '18.

Hillary can still be impeached by an overwhelmingly Republican controlled House, even if the Senate, as with her husband, fails to ratify that impeachment.

I appreciate that as a liberal you generally have contempt for any individual who is capable of freely coming to their own decisions about how they feel about any given topic or position. But I can assure you that most conservatives, myself included, didn't need any help or persuasion to abhor some of the policies and positions that liberals have foisted on western civilization over the past few decades.

As individuals, there are precious few liberals I would say I personally hate - all of those I do, by the way, are politicians - but as a collective, and make no mistake they act and mass as a single minded collective, they are to be despised and fought at every opportunity.

In my opinion , evidence show she has more principles and decency than, well Trump and most libertarians.

I do not see evidence you have the capacity to understand certain issues. The fact you can't is at the core of my statement.

I didn't even know Ann Coulter was running for office...

You are an example that is more extreme than most, but it is not isolated to you.

Yes, you are correct in that the impeachment and the ratification are two technically two separate actions.

But besides that technicality, nothing is coming of this issue more than a political stunt, as was Bill's impeachment. It's a worthless endeavor in practical terms.

Hello Mr. Reasonable Person, who is going to say things that are reasonable in a personable manner.

the policies and positions that liberals have foisted on western civilization over the past few decades.

Which policies and positions have been perpetrated upon you?

Statutes, regulations, evidence of violation thereof..............

...these would be nice.

And what does it mean to "foist" something on "western civilization"? What is "western civilization," speaking of which, when did you become spokesman for it?

After weighing the good, the bad and the ugly I find I'm forced to vote for Trump tomorrow. I don't do this lightly, and it's more out of a total disdain of Hillarys corruption rather than any backing for Trump. Granted, I'm in Texas so it's not likely Hillary will gain much traction here. We're still a red state, but a President Hillary Clinton... I just can't support, and there are no valid 3rd party candidates I can support.

Trump is a fool, he's supporting taking 2nd amendment rights without due process, he's a braggart, an oaf, he's a thief, a cheapskate and a jerk. Still, he's not Hillary. This is the first election I've voted in since 1994 when I could use my power as a citizen to shape our country's path that I am depressed about my choice.

I hate all of you Trumpers that forced this choice on America, and I am angry at the GOP for being so pathetic as to make this election a "Screw YOU" election. I hope the GOP burns, and a new, conservative and principled party arises from the ass cancer that a Trump Presidency (or failed candidacy) will bring.

You, the voters forced this, you, the GOP made it happen. Hell, for the first time since 1994 I didn't give a single penny to the GOP. Not one penny. First time. 24 years. Do you know how crappy I feel?

Trump is a misogynist who can't keep his hands off women. He has no problem with assault on women. But you think you should vote for him. This is really well thought out on your part. Not

The women have no evidence that he did anything towards them. People should stop taking peoples words as truth one way or another. He could have sexually assaulted these women, could have sexually assaulted some of them, or he could have sexually assaulted none of them. Accusations are not proof of wrongdoing and people need remember that.

Hillary stays married to a sexual predatpr and destroys women that dare threaten her power

Do you have a wife and or daughters? If you do I sure hope you believe them if someone assaults them and they have no actual evidence. Yea they can make an accusation and when the courts with your support can't prove it oh well. I hope that never happens to you.
