I think the 45% in that poll are wrong.

Watergate was far worse.

We still don't know for sure that Clinton intentionally violated any laws or rules. We suspect it, but we don't know.
Whereas, in the Watergate scandal, we know for sure that a sitting president and his administration violated various laws. And then more laws by trying to cover it up.

The difference may be a matter of time, and after a decade or so we learn that the Clinton Email Scandal was worse. But at the moment, it is not.

He is on trial for fraud and raping a child.

And Trump is rarely found "guilty" because usually he gets a plea bargain where "he does not admit guilt", but pays his way out of jail. Happened with his racism trial in the 70s... which he never lived up too and so on.
 
This is absurd. They didn't even use emails during Watergate.
 
It would be a wonder if as many as 45 percent know what Watergate was.
