MRC Study: Documenting TV’s Twelve Weeks of Trump Bashing

In the twelve weeks since the party conventions concluded in late July, Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump has received significantly more broadcast network news coverage than his Democratic rival, Hillary Clinton, but nearly all of that coverage (91%) has been hostile, according to a new study by the Media Research Center (MRC).

In addition, the networks spent far more airtime focusing on the personal controversies involving Trump (440 minutes) than about similar controversies involving Clinton (185 minutes).

I'm not fan of Trump, but this blatant disrespect to democracy sickens me to my ****ing stomach.

The only real question is what is wrong with the other 9%?

Of course that media coverage has nothing to do with the utterly brainless misogynistic, xenophobic, and racist crap that Trump has a habit of saying. See, no matter how misogynistic, xenophobic, and racist Trump is, the MSM should give him just as much nice and supportive coverage as anyone who's NOT misogynistic, xenophobic, and racist!

Ooooooohhh...must be a conspiracy! It's all rigged!!!!

Gee, I wonder why.

Oh wait.

The man insulted POWs. And women. And the family of a war hero. And Mexican Americans. And Muslim Americans. And......

Etc.

Not only that, but given the way the DC Elite both the R and the D divisions have been teamed up to get him.....I tell you what, losing by less than 5% of the popular vote after all this is a WIN for THE REBELLION. The main win however is that the elites have further embarrished themselves in the last year, and act like they are too stupid to understand it. The way Clinton Corp and The Professor are now acting towards Trump is deeply disappointing. These clowns have learned nothing.

So if the difference between Hillary and trump is more than 5%, that count as a defeat for the rebellions.

The tiny hand putz has earned every bit of it.

A loss of more than 8% is a loss. Less than 5% is a win. If it is less than 5% the DC ELITE R Division is going to take the blame. I that case I think big things happen to the party.

Sorry, but the Democrats promising the unions that they would pass the Card Check Bill is blatant disrespect for democratic institutions. The Democrats insistence of having voter fraud is blatant disrespect of democratic processes. The Democrats saying you can learn what's in the ACA after they pass the bill is blatant disrespect as if President Obama saying, over and over, "If you like your health insurance you can keep your health insurance, period, " and Dr. Gruber saying we were counting on the stupidity of people voting. The Democrats are the essence of blatant disrespect for almost everything but mostly disrespect for America.

Trashing Donald Trump has nothing to do with a lack of respect to Democracy. It is a lot like the negative press Ted Bundy got. Richly deserved. If you dedicated an hour to the good Donald Trump has done you'd have at least 45 minutes of dead air.

The coverage mainly has been of Trump himself, howling, complaining or simply uttering inanities, which makes him the author of most of his own bashing.

Well, if Trump did not run around acting as a horse's ass this would not be a problem. The man is even making this easy for SNL.

Conforming to our owners(Carlin) expectations is a way to avoid their attack, but that does not make submission the correct path.

You cannot have his both ways. Trump has been negative and attacking since day one way back in primary season, no sense in complaining about the response to all his foolishness. Moreover his own tone set this stage.

I am not asking Trump to conform, I am pointing out the hypocrisy of complaining about negative coverage of a candidate that swims in negativity all intentionally.

For days these clowns went on and on "OMG HOW COULD HE, NOT CONCEDING WOULD CAUSE A CONSTITUTIONAL CRISES! TRUMP DOES NOT CARE ABOUT AMERICA!"

Ya, that was a bit too much for them to sustain with a straight face. Now:

Election law doesn't care if Trump (or Clinton) ever concedes
Election law doesn't care if Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton ever concedes - CNNPolitics.com

Took them over a week to get near the truth though.

Typical of the Anti Trump propaganda that we have seen all along.

Sure I can, the ones who claim to be better than Trump always had the option to act better than Trump.

But no, no they cant do it, cause THEY SUCK!

Why is it disrespectful of democracy for people to speak their negative opinion of trump?

Was it your intention to throw Trump under the bus with the media?

I hear that Benito Mussolini doesn't get a lot of positive press either. Maybe the media hates all arrogant fascists.

I must have missed the controversy where Hillary was bragging about grabbing the ******s of unwitting females. Maybe there's no real balance in the weight of the controversies. Maybe the larger douchebag should get the most attention. This is not a vote for King of the ass wipes here. We are trying to elect a leader not treat all things as equal. Objectively, Trumps behavior, on and off the stump, is atrocious and he would embarrass our country profoundly with his smug ignorance. He's like George W Bush in that way, blundering along unapologetically, entitled and oblivious.

I'd rather have a blow-hard that talks out of his ass than a current career politician whose got more scandals to her name than Al Capone put hits on people.

Never mind that the overwhelming majority of those scandals were made up out of whole cloth and sold to you hook, line, and sinker.

Trump is a hero, but barring a vast moral majority that has gone completely undetected by journalists(or they say anyways) and pollsters( I trust that they at least want to tell the truth, unlike with the journalists, whether they can find the truth is a whole nother kettle of fish however) beating CLINTON CORP Trumps service to The Rebellion is near over.

A hero? By what measure?
