In 2012, well more than half of all voters in battleground states Florida and North Carolina cast their ballots before Election Day. In Florida, 56 percent of the electorate in the 2012 presidential race voted early and in North Carolina nearly 61 percent did the same. More Democrats than Republicans voted early in 2012 in both of these critical battleground states.

As of October 21st, more Republicans than Democrats have cast ballots in Florida and North Carolina.

In Florida, where in-person early voting begins in some counties beginning October 24th, Republicans currently have cast 2 percent more ballots than Democrats. In North Carolina, where in person early voting started on October 20th, Republicans hold a 5 percent advantage in the number of ballots cast according to analysis by the NBC News Data Analytics Lab using voter file data provided by TargetSmart.

I expect Trump to easily win FL and NC.

Won’t be close. Ds aren’t turning out for Hillary in the numbers rigged polls say they should be.

I have to bawl in laughter when the media says R vote is being tested.

Talk about outright desperation.

What 'rigged' polls?

I do not find your predictions to be realistic.

That just means more Republicans are voting early IMO.

And again.. WHAT RIGGED POLLS ???

Where are they rigged What's rigged?

Without proof just because Trump's Cult lemmings use the word 'rigged' means NOTHING. I want proof, or they are nothing but the 'boy who cried wolf'. It's old, tiring and boring. What poll/election is rigged??

Why re-post this?

The only reason NBC (or any other MSM agency) would post this is to motivate Democratic voters to vote.

Just let the vote happen and see who wins. IMO Trump has more support than the polls report...but I'd prefer Hillary's supporters believe those polls and sit their asses at home. :coffeepap:

Keep laughing. Early voting in Florida hasn't started yet. Absentee voting has and although more Republicans than Democrats requested absentee ballots, which is always true in Florida, the GOP advantage is down from what it was in 2012 when Romney lost the state. In North Carolina, other news agencies are reporting Democrats with an early voting lead. If you don't think the Republican lead, if there is a lead which is a big IF, in these states is being tested you haven't been paying attention.

Looked at this a little more. The early in person vote totals in NC are in heavily blue areas. Republicans are the ones staying home. You were misled by NBC's report on absentee vote requests. But as in Florida these also look better for Democrats than you might think, much better. In 2012 there were approximately 37,000 GOP absentee ballots requests in NC. This year that number fell to approximately 19,000. Democrat absentee ballot requests meanwhile actually increased by a several hundred over the approximately 17,000 requested in 2012.

Nate Silver writes today for his fivethirtyeight site that public disenchantment with Trump is likely to depress GOP voter turnout in many states, giving Democrats the Senate as well as the Presidency. Silver, you may recall, is the guy who correctly predicted the outcome in all fifty states in 2012 while Romney was being cheered up by polls like Rasmussen's that had him winning or Dick Morris that had him winning in a landslide.

So you're right in one respect. Very likely this election "won't be close">
