CNN: "It's Against The Law To Read Wikileaks. It's Different For The Media."

Yes, I wouldn't doubt you're accurate in this; the press has no legal rights above those of individuals.

And I also caught the "it's different for the press" ] statement. That's a crappy statement. The only thing I could think of is perhaps the press organization may be given the benefit of the doubt in terms of prosecution?

But it was a funky statement, none-the-less.

What I find amusing is that they were not screaming this when they illegally published trumps tax returns.
the media hypocrites show exactly who they are in bed with and there is not leftist slant with the Clinton new media
has been busted all over the place.

Uh, correct me if I'm wrong, but I distinctly heard him say "illegal to possess" the emails - not "illegal to read". And he which might be accurate there.

In this digital era I think the two are one in the same.

Either way, the only people forbidden from accessing Wikileaks on their computers are military members and people with security clearances. And even those people aren't likely to be punished for it.

"Calm down"?

What the **** is it with you right wingers you can't post without getting personal?

We will not speak again.

You would be well served to go back and re-read the exchange and re-think the context. Nothing posted was personal. It was simply providing information on the law as it pertains to the press possessing stolen/hacked/classified information. You're overreacting... big time.

When anyone addresses a poster directly in debate it is personal.

"calm down" is an insult and what I may or not be feeling has nothing to do with the debate. If you want to get personal, make comments on personalities like your ****ed up politics then I don't want to deal with you. I don't come here to be insulted, those that do can have the basement. Ignore is the best feature in here.

Have a nice day

If "calm down" is an insult then what do you call this...

Oh so it's espionage now?

You have the credentials as an investigator AND sufficient evidence to establish that claim "beyond a reasonable doubt" no doubt, just like Trump can "prove" he never sexually assaulted anyone.

For eight, long, sometimes very ugly years I read the American right in bitching, moaning and complaining how Obama had shredded the constitution....and America was "going to hell" because of it.

But the first sign of something published that you don't like., it's an immediate issue of "treason" and you talk of jail, or as the above make a completely unsupportable, outlandish and libelous claim. The bigotry is only surpassed by the hypocrisy.

Shame. Shame on all of you for being what you have been pretending to fight.

Like it or not, you got personal first. The "calm down" was a response to the above post I just quoted and particularly the portion which I highlighted.

I think he is conflicted. He had the same meltdown with me. Perhaps the individual depicted in his avatar is haunting him. He goes off on these rabid rants about 'the right' while protesting his disdain for 'the left' in a country that he has no stake in politically...at all. Ironic that someone that would apparently idealize if not idolize the founder of Gonzo Journalism wouldnt be outright beside himself with anger at the revelations of collusion between the media and an authoritarian political figures, instead of regularly losing his **** over the people that point out the collusion. Or maybe he loses his **** so regularly because he is simply so full of it to begin with.

Thank for that uninformed opinion.

Are you a moderator? Why is it I have become a target for your complaints about my posting style.

For the record I said NOTHING about his personality, his mood, only his re-actions. I would like to say this exchange has been 'nice', but it is off topic by a few hundred miles, is ALL personal on your part and is not supported in the rules.

Good bye. We will not be speaking again

Now find someone else to harass with your off topic bull****
