Americans Fear Corruption

Although Americans seem to fear gov't corruption, the left is voting for that very thing. The left's ability to force their culture upon others should not be underestimated.

Trump has said he will make it so the media can get sued, ignoring the 1st amendment, has said he would jail his opponent, yeah you go right ahead and think Trump isn't corrupt. That's not even including the fact he thinks groping women is ok.
 
Americans themselves are corrupt. They stole software with impunity until it was finally secured, they stole music by the terabyte, students check "senior" on air travel tickets to save a few bucks, they cheat to get welfare they aren't entitled to, they print phony coupons, etc.

America's public education stopped teaching ethics and right vs wrong in school.

Is it any wonder why Hillary doesn't stand out in all the noise?

We are hard wired to perk our ears up about sex, but not corruption involving money. If Hillary wins, we may be sending troops in to defend dictators who paid off the Clinton Foundation as insurance.
 
You are taking a common concern that may cross ideologies and haphazardly applying it only to "the left."

What you ignore with "left's ability to force their culture upon others" by is force is the whole point of social conservatism influences in governance as well. Using governance to ensure social climate is also known as a lean to theocracy. Any system of belief is a prerequisite to the condition.

The harsh truth here is modern liberalism and modern social conservatism are flip sides of the same coin. Where to apply the power of governance to ensure an outcome is the only thing that separates the two. Been that way since the 1940s, at least.

Our problem with this conversation is while Trump is no real social conservative, he talks like one and appeals to a demographic that tends to also appeal to using the power of governance in some other manner. Trump is no government minimalist, is not about Constitutionalism, is not about State's Rights, is ultimately not about less bureaucracy and/or less corruption. Trump for years supported "the left" for his own benefit across several subjects. His history is relevant to this discussion.

Hillary has many faults, and is a big governance advocate. But don't be so silly as to suggest Trump is the savior here when it comes to American's fear of corruption.

Trump has also admitted bragged about donating to politicians for favors, pretty much the textbook definition of corruption

No one asked him if it was OK, and he never said it was OK.
Sue the media? It's hard. It's like proving your BS here was intentionally designed to hurt a candidate, rather than just being free to shovel phony accusations.

I do think that we have a problem with the press as they relate to Trump right now, his issues a decade ago are crowding out coverage of Clinton crimes occurring NOW. I don't know what to do about that, and I doubt Trump does either. A lot of the media, IMO, has crossed the line into SuperPac.
