Good we are good.

We say Victoria is for the newly wed and nearly dead. Because of the mild winters and so little rain it is the retirement capital of Canada. I advise you make a return visit, skip the open air bus and take an eco tour, see some whales, bighorn sheep, the Rockies. I've been here since '78 and still haven't seen most of it. Never planned to settle here, but after you move here there really isn't anywhere else you want to live, that is if you can afford it.

Most recent news: Housing prices are plummeting due to government controls; buy a detached cottage in Vancouver now costs "only" $1.45 million.

Oh, I seen whales off the coast of the island while cruising north to Alaska. Grays or Humpbacks, don't know which. We were on board one of Princess Cruise ships. Victoria was one of stops on the way home. Beautiful place.

I always like the professor. His books and articles were masterful and in gand strategy I can not think of anyone we have had that was comparable. His legacy has kept us in good times till now. The thing is that in his creation was the seed of today's growing challenge. To fashion a new world order as he did, we are going to need more than the people we presently parade.

I could go on but I think you see the difference between history and a "take on history".

The fact is, President Nixon was a liberal. It was liberals and their "take on history" that made the Vietnam War, Niexon's War and not LBJ's War. Nixon's failure, for the Democrats, was that he didn't hate religion, didn't hate the Constitution, and had some ethical foundation.
