Ethnic cleansing used to be a bad thing. But in America, when it happens to white people, it's called progress and the "new face of California."

The town of Santa Ana has been almost 100% purged of white people. They were pushed out not by tanks and machine guns, but by a massive influx of people speaking a different language and bearing a different culture who expected everyone to adapt to their norms.

Today Santa Ana is nearly 80% Hispanic and less than 10% white. We have a city in America that now demographically perfectly mirrors many cities in Mexico.

Hispanics can belong to any race.They can be White,Black,Asian,Native American or a mixture.

That is very practical, if we want to do empirical research into Mexican social behaviour. But say. What is so terrible? We have survived little Italys and Chinatowns all around the country. If they are Americans or legal? They'll work and do well and it'll be okay.

Doesn't bother me, I'm in an area that's probably less than five per cent black for hundreds of miles.

yes, but "white flight" implies that when black people move in, the white people move out. That's not what happens. People self segragate. you look at any ethnic community even among white people, middle eastern, even asian populations not just in the cities but every where tend to congregate and live near each other.

I'm not one to be overly-concerned with demographic shifts.

No, it is not a myth. Chicago is case in point--- a lot of the better off white people living on the South and West sides fled to the suburbs around the mid 1950s and 1960s or so. Right about the same time African Americans and other minorities were really starting to increase in number. Coincidence?
 
Someone doesn't understand the definition of Ethnic Cleansing. Leaving town willingly - ain't it.

For black people to move in, white people have to move out. That is what happens. White people move to wherever white people are moving to.

Some of my grandparents' friends were apparently rather.....frank about it.

It wasn't exactly something that one would write about in a newspaper, but not something you can deny.

No, I can't deny that some people are racist. What I question is whether that was behind the move from the city to the suburbs for most people, or was it more the allure of more space, larger homes, less crowding, less crime, etc.

The normal number of vacancies continued and when Blacks moved in more moved out.
