...going nuclear on his own party.

Donald Trump: 'The shackles have been taken off me' - CNNPolitics.com

The GOP nominee is lashing out in a stream of tweets boiling with rage and resentment, slamming House Speaker Paul Ryan for effectively cutting him loose and accusing the party leadership of dooming his campaign. It's a meltdown unprecedented by a presidential nominee this late in the year.

"It is so nice that the shackles have been taken off me and I can now fight for America the way I want to," Trump said in a tweet that raised the prospect of a full on civil war in the Republican Party. Such a battle would pit his loyal supporters against the rest of the GOP, including vulnerable lawmakers running for re-election that could threaten the party's hold on Congress.

We can probably expect NH to fall, and I would not be surprised to see Ohio and Arizona Senate races to also become competitive if the Trumpets hold off voting for Portman and McCain in retaliation for them pulling their support from Trump.

Woohoo!!!

I'm not cheering about NH falling. These dimwits who gave us Trump handed NH over to a colossally stupid Liberal named Maggie Hassan.

But they sent a message to the Establishment, don't you know?

I hope they all follow that disgusting man into the abyss, and take their racist, paranoid, ignorant bigotry with them.

RCP has the race at +2 for Ayotte right now. But, if the Trumpies vote for Hassan out of spite...it will spell trouble.

What Will Ayotte's Reversal on Trump Mean for the U.S. Senate Race? | New Hampshire Public Radio

I hope her reversal on supporting Trump actually resonates with the smart people here, and they support her.

You would think that this would overcome the idiot vote...but, I am not so sure anymore.

Just like Hillary was doomed last month, Donald is at his nadir this month.

But we're only seeing the negative reflection of his video and the 1st debate, and it will take 'till next week to ascertain if he got a bump from the 2nd debate. Plus, the media is plastering the airwaves and internet with the Friday WikiLeaks dump.

So things tend to swing like a pendulum, and it's entirely possible Donald rebounds - at least somewhat. Four weeks is a long time in politics. Now it very well may not happen, and he may have recently moved the pendulum mode around a more negative equilibrium point (for him). But all this remains to be seen.

I don't care who my Representative or Senator endorses. Just like I don't care what tv/movie star, singer, etc comes out and endorses. I vote for who I believe will do the best job. I most likely will vote for republicans who are running for Congress. I doubt if I vote for Trump.

12,000 emails....I think the public is burned out on massive email dumps that don't contain a smoking gun. They can't even keep one email story straight from another anymore.

I'm curious to see what Trump's big play against Clinton will be. The way it's been talked about and the timing makes it feel this may have been the Clinton's campaign big play, which they used to deflect away from the wikileak dumps. Question is, if Trump has something they are sitting on, does Clinton have something bigger to put out? Sort of what I've been wondering

I think Moot is right, in that this email thing may be hitting a saturation point, where the voters become desensitized to them.

I think the campaign should just direct their responses to any emails in general terms, rather than to any email or claim specifically. I'd claim some of the emails to be doctored, corrupted, and fraudulent, to the point of them being too fraudulent & unreliable to trust or decipher. I'd play highly on their being stolen, illegal, of Russian origin, and lacking in chain of custody.

Then I'd tie them to Putin t& Trump, and I'd go Trump with a vengeance, playing-up Paul Manaforte's Putin connections along with Trump insisting on changing the traditional GOP Platform from against Russia, to pro Russia. I'd tie every email and every dump to the Putin-Trump Russian collusion. I'd make Trump fear any email that gets released!

There's so much FUD out there, and it will only increase, so rather than address anything individually, I'd go after Trump, Putin, and the emails themselves - all collectively - spinning this all back to Trump! I don't see this as too hard to do, and really don't see how it can lose!

strickland is falling farther and farther behind in Ohio

15 points down as of now. But, with the Trupetteers going nuclear...all bets are off.

All I can say is Boehner is probably one pleased happy hour camper right now not to be in Ryan's seat.

A scortched earth approach in a presidential race cannot help him win over undecided and independent voters. People see that and say, "Holy crap! We really can't trust him with nuclear codes."

I see Rubio is "only" ahead by 4 points.
RealClearPolitics - Election 2016 - Florida Senate - Rubio vs. Murphy

Now, in a regular year, that would be a commanding lead this late. But this is not a regular year. So, it makes sense that when criticizing Trump, Rubio is trying to have his cake and eat it too. Tough to surf that wave though. It's a damned if you do, damned if you don't kind of deal.

But, I have to respect this man's words.
“I ran against Donald Trump. And while I respect that voters chose him as the GOP nominee, I have never hesitated to oppose his policies I disagree with. And I have consistently rejected his offensive rhetoric and behavior. I disagree with him on many things, but I disagree with his opponent on virtually everything.

“I wish we had better choices for President. But I do not want Hillary Clinton to be our next President. And therefore my position has not changed.”

Florida Sen. Marco Rubio breaks silence, sticks by Donald Trump

If he could have articulated his position like that in the Primary, we might be looking at a completely different presidential race today. Rubio would probably be up 5 points on Hillary.

We can't forget about information contained in The Apprentice vaults that may be released soon. Apparently, those tapes have audio and video that far surpasses the bombshell Access Hollywood stuff. Pressure is increasing on the British producer of The Apprentice to release those tapes. Of course The Donald has threatened to really get tough on Hillary if that happens. You know, he's been a gentlemen so far.

Not America, just the basket of Deplorables.

Best thing ever would be Hillary with a majority in the Senate and three SCOTUS picks over the next 8 years. :)
