When did liberals become interested in family values?

In other words, they never cared, it was just rhetoric to appease the naive.

That's why so many folks who got elected on family values were found to be adulterers. It's not that anybody is any less, it is just they invoked a higher morality to get elected, and it backfired on them, since they aren't any more moral than anybody else. That's why the new mantra is 'Love the constitution'... because your personal behavior isn't going to interfere with that rhetoric.
 
Liberals have basically taken the role of preachy imbecile from conservatives and have perhaps become even more annoying than conservatives ever were with it.

When "Family" came to mean taxpayer funded transgender sex changes & same sex unions ?
When getting high became more fashionable to them than getting to work?
When a wicked career politician endorsed by and beholden to the 1% and married to a cheating misogynist seduced her intellectually challenged support base into believing she had 1/2 ounce of virtue?
When, and only when, it suits their agenda?

Just a few possibilities

Agreed, Conservatives too often equate their values with the only values. Liberals still have values, they just are not the puritanical sexual morals and emphasis on marriage, the nuclear family, and traditional gender roles that conservatives have.

And for the love of God, the Trump video is not outrageous cause of family values. Its the flippant discussion of and entitlement to what sounds like aggressive unwanted sexual advances and possibly sexual assault.

Mr. Trump on the other hand thinks such behaviour is fine....because he is so desirable he knows your daughters would love it :shrug:

maybe it's time to introduce him to some women like your girls ;)

Actually Bill got impeached.

But at any rate, I've never been shy about saying I don't really care about stuff like infidelity, when it comes to politicians. I don't care about it with Trump, either.

I'll tell you what I care about, since the Trumpers don't seem to get it. It's not "family values."

What I care about is him talking about assaulting, molesting, and coercing women. He is an outright misogynist. Half of America is composed of girls and women. Misogyny is not a quality any president should have.

I don't care that much if Trump is unfaithful. I find it eye-rollingly ironic that someone everyone has always known is a cheater is now the nominee of the "family values" party, but I'm not married to him and I don't really care. And besides that, I really doubt any of the women who have married him expected faithfulness anyway. C'mon, be real.

What I care about is that he is towing the line of admitting to being a rapist. I care that he thinks women exist for him to molest, hurt, and jack off to, and basically no other reason. He even treats his own daughter like that.

People who promote criminal and oppressive behavior towards half the population of America should not be president.
