The Regime is the most corrupt gov't our country has seen in it's entire history. It demonstrates the lawlessness of the left and its contempt it has for our culture, systems, and institutions. The left is the party of corruption.

I think there were worse but in modern history yes. they are not far from placing in the top 10 though.

They all had major corruption.

My understanding is that there can be convened, independent of the government, a grand jury with powers to probe into such things. Maybe someone here with a solid law as well as historical background can enlighten further.

Its going too far, the American people are losing faith in all our institutions, Obama has been a complete disaster. Other recent presidents from both sides have also contributed mightily I would hastily add.

I wonder if a citizens arrest would work. I think that would test the full limits of the law but when our law enforcement fails we there has to be some recourse.

I would love to see a grand jury impaneled. They should be able to go anywhere, look into anything, ask anybody they want questions, up to and including the president.

Its a nice thought, anyhow. Truth, Justice and the American way.

I am no lawyer, but I think there are several legal mechanisms to force government officers to do their jobs. One is a Writ Of Mandamus, but the sad truth is that the judiciary is just as corrupt as the DOJ itself.

Read the story of Sibel Edmonds for a contemporary example of how corrupt the entire government is. It's far worse than even the cynical like myself believe.

The problem then is there is no one to force them to do it. you would have to go through the entire justice system while the doj is trying to defend the corruption.
no wonder the judge order the entire DOJ to take ethics classes again.

Iran-contra 2.0? Do you understand what happened during Iran Contra? The scandal wasn't just that we sold weapons to unethical people. We've done that all over the place any time we thought it would benefit us. The issue in Iran-Contra is that congress passed an amendment/bill that specifically outlawed supplying the rebels, or "contra", with support or weapons and Reagan and co. secretly circumvented that law, as well as we supplied Iran with weapons through a loophole as a payment for hostages. And even though with all that, the only charges brought against anyone was for the support of the contras in Nicaragua, because it was outlawed, and that while the Iran stuff was shady and secretive, they technically weren't breaking laws. etc. etc.

You can't say that anything Obama/Hillary has done is anything like this and be taken seriously. It's a fanciful and grossly exaggerated claim that is void of reality.

You evidently didn't read the article so you come up with a meaningless post.
In this case they did sell weapons to rebel forces indirectly by other nations.

In fact they were going to charge this guy until he threatened to drag everyone else with him.

Yes they sold weapons to rebel forces through other nations, but they didn't do it secretly or illegally, which is why Iran contra is a scandal in the first place. The White House said that they were considering arming rebels since the very beginning of the rebellion. None of this is a secret. This guy is merely saying that he can show how it was done poorly. And even if he could show that ITS NOT IRAN CONTRA! It's insane to even try to put them on the same level.

Grant was ranked 6th. Fillmore is on there because he was the straw that broke the camels back when it came
to starting the civil war.

I don't buy that concerning Fillmore. that wasn't a sign of corruption
 
The remedy for a politically motivated Justice Department is to elect a President who would make it more neutral and independent.
