More important than what will the NYT do, is what, if anything, may the US DOJ do if any illegality is disclosed? I think the answer to both, however, will be similar.

Maybe Assange can send the DOJ a bill for finding them since the DOJ could not.
 
It has to be something spectacular for it to top the mess Trump is in at the moment. Taxes, sexism, racism and worse.

Tough call as if the claimed info is there and valid then it probably goes all the way to the top with our POTUS so would the POTUS have his DOJ investigate himself?

Let me guess you are a Trumpman all the way, regardless if he has lusted for his own daughter, been screwing around and been clearly racist for decades.. not to mention a massive con man. Yea Clinton is sooo much worse.. she has lived in a freaking glass bubble for 30+ years and the GOP has not been able to nail anything to her.

That's what the Independent Council law was set up for, and also why the US Constitution gives Impeachment powers to the Congress. There's nothing restricting the impeachment and conviction of a President or Secretary of State, AFTER he or she has left office - although that would be very ugly politically.

However, we don't know what, if anything, this document dump will actually show. It may just be a lengthy discussion about toe jam, jock itch, and airplane talks about grandchildren.
 
Since none of their other leaks have kept Clinton from wiggling out of them, I doubt their smoking gun will be much either.

Nope. Don't like Trump. It's interesting that you have to deflect to try and make a point so....here's the answers to your questions:

1. Taxes: She was exempted on some taxes under the same clause that Trump has (there is a thread currently going on this).

2. Sexism: She thought it was funny to get a pedophile rapist off of charges and also attacked the sexual assault and rape victims of her husband.

3. Racism: "Bring these super predators to heel and three strikes your out was a really good thing."

Clinton " wiggled out " of illegally storing, sending and receiving classified data on a unsecure homebrew server.

She " wiggled out " of deleting Emails that belonged to the State Department too.

She also " wiggled out " of a DOJ investigation into her foundation when Obama's DOJ refused to act on the FBIs request to investigate the Clinton foundation

Well, thanks to a corrupt DOJ and a FBI that's willing to apply the law selectively. So I think most Americans agree that she's practically above the law, because Laws are for little people and Republicans, and aren't expecting these Emails to lead to any perp walks.

It will never happen. No Democrat would vote for it and the entire media and social media and everything liberal would erupt in a giant storm of rage and probably significant amounts of violence for the impeachment of the first black President and the presumptive first female President, no matter how damning the information is.

And? She nor Trump did anything illegal. That was never the point of the Trump tax issue and you know it. It is all about how rich he is, the charities he has given too and of course his credibility over all.

I wonder what it would take for these emails to make any kind of diffference? I think it will just confirm what all of the anti-Hillary folks already know( lack of charcter,fundamentally dishonest) .

The Hillary supporters will just say. " That's bad but all politicians lie,but , Trump called somebody fat!!!"
