I don't get sick but the idea of sex with a man is pretty darn repulsive to me as well, and I have a gay brother. But that's a conditioned response. I imagine it would be different if you'd been brought up since birth to accept ONLY gay relationships as normal and that was reinforced by nearly every movie, book, church, your parents, friends, school, etc.
Put me in prison for 15 years, who knows what I'd do. Doubt I'll have to worry about it, but I can't say for certain I'd abstain for 15 years either. What we do KNOW for sure is many men and women who have homosexual SEX in prison are still straight and when released go back to exclusively straight sexual relationships. The sex is just sex, and they do it with same sex because that's the ONLY option.
Seems to me like certain sexual acts would be pretty similar. I think receiving oral sex for instance, or being on top for anal sex, whether with a guy or girl, to label these hetero/homosexual acts could be more about judgment than a meaningful difference. This is how i think prison sex happens for many and to stay celibate instead could be the conditioned response
But i can you from the other perspective (although maybe your brother would disagree), even being conditioned from birth to view hetero relationships as normal by books/movies/church/parents etc, i find the thought of vaginal sex repulsive just the same. I think there's a point where clearly if you're 100% hetero/homosexual, the brain chemistry takes over beyond anything else
