TULSA, Okla. — An unarmed black man killed by a white Oklahoma officer who was responding to a stalled vehicle can be seen in police video walking away from officers and toward his SUV with his hands up before he approaches the driver’s side door, where he drops to the ground after being shocked with a stun gun then fatally shot.

In Tulsa police helicopter footage that was among several clips released Monday showing the shooting of 40-year-old Terence Crutcher and its aftermath, a man in the helicopter that arrives above the scene as Crutcher walks to the vehicle can be heard saying “time for a Taser.” He then says: “That looks like a bad dude, too. Probably on something.”

Police Chief Chuck Jordan announced before the video and audio recordings’ release that Crutcher had no weapon on him or in his SUV when he was shot Friday. It’s not clear from the footage what led Betty Shelby, the officer who fired the fatal shot, to draw her gun or what orders officers might have given Crutcher. Local and federal investigations are underway to determine whether criminal charges are warranted in the shooting or if Crutcher’s civil rights were violated.

If it me or are these things happening weekly?

I know all the comments, wait till the "investigation" and 'video lies", but the shear numbers of death by cop are off the chart. I do not believe for a second there is NOT a racial issues here. There are way too many

What is astounding is that on one hand we have amazingly effective police work as in catching the bomber in NYC and on other we have complete lack of any and everything that a cop should be.

At least they can use the excuse they didn't know, the RCMP knows and behaves like the Catholic church, moves them around.

This one has so many implications though, child molester, drug user. Yeah, people like that having a gun and badge may explain a lot about the US

i have said it before, and i will say it again

what is it about people that refuse to listen to police officer's order?

he had his hands up, and they were ready to move in and subdue

then he starts moving again, towards his vehicle, and then LOWERS his hands

WHY?

when they say get on the ground....get on the MF ground....spread your arms, and fight in court

not on the street, where the cops have the weapons, and the right to protect themselves

he had no weapon....how was she supposed to know that? by mind reading? ESP?

another stupid death because someone refused to listen to police instructions

That is not acceptable. But is it good to worry it too much. We know from the last time, when we looked up the numbers that the police do not shoot disproportionately more Blacks that Whites. This is especially true, when the crime statistics are considered. So why do people feed the miscreants of blm?

It's the black guy's fault for not listening to the heavily armed and armored police. That made them frightened so they killed him.

Remember kids, police are really, really anxiety prone so when comes near you, freeze until the danger has past,

Me i am color blind on this. If it was a white person, does not matter. Did the Police act correctly and according to laws and regulations.

be combative, dont listen, and dont do as they tell you to do, and take your chances

me...i will take door # 1 thank you....and then fight in court if i have been wronged

but i guess it is up to you....is listening to the police that hard on your ego?

You actually approve of this killing?

You actually agree this man had to die because he had his back turned, his arms still and his posture non-threatening?

You don't have police, you have armed bikers who **** their panties at the hint of trouble and then kill.

These pigs had guns, body armor, tasers and batons....and they had to shoot a man in the back.

Be proud of that, go ahead. I call it murder and I call them ******s. Scared little ******s who freak out and kill at EVERYTHING.

There are more white people killed than black people, in The United States. So, it isn't usually a black person.
