Media Outraged After DJT Tricks Them...

WASHINGTON — The media showed up to the presidential ballroom of the new Trump International Hotel on Friday morning expecting Donald Trump to take questions about whether he still questions if President Obama was born in the United States.
Instead, they got more than a half hour of a variety of military heroes — generals, medal of honor recipients and a gold star wife — expressing support for the Republican nominee. And it all aired live on the cable news networks.

I love it when the left stream media has their own tactics used against them. That is classic! :lamo

The media love to play 'gotcha' games with candidates. Great to see them get 'got.'

Yea, Trump outsmarted them, which is more than we get with Hillary all she does is refuse to be seen, she hasn't had a news conference in almost a year.

This whole birther crap is just a MSM fuel distraction anyways, the left is getting desperate now that they can no longer pretend Hillary is going to win by a landslide.
You seem to be insinuating ANY media has put in ANY effort to make this election about actual issues and is only now switching to a TMZ model of reporting. I must disagree with said insinuation. Whether it was Trump's constant tweets, Rubio's accusation of small hands, Clinton's e-mail or Megyn Kelly, the media has shown very little interest in reporting on actual issues during this election season. We're not even getting the usual amount of rich vs. poor, abortion, gay marriage, etc. debates which are common in election season.

CNN is usually the news network on in my house because my wife loves to have news running in the background while we do stuff around the house. So it's the one with which I'm most familiar and the one which is the least biased of the major cable news programs. But I keep up with the forums I read the various articles which get posted (as well as the topics which are covered by CNN) and the fact is voters this year just don't seem to care very much about actual issues. Voters seem to be far more interested in TMZ style of news. So that's what we've gotten. I must disagree with you that it has anything to do with Hillary's campaign troubles.

I've got to say, when I tuned in before Trump got there I was wondering why he would call a news conference about the birther thing.
Especially since it would look like he was responding to something Hillary said.
I figured it would be better to just handle it as an answer to a question, should anyone ask.
But then I learned the purpose of the event and saw the mic drop.
Incredible.

Actually if you ever get to watch CNN outside of US, the contrast is shocking! They do actually look like genuine News network. I actually do find it insulting how they push puff pieces and dumb the news down for American Audience!

Indeed.

Not something that most recent GOP candidates were able to pull off, or to even have the imagination to try and pull off.

Some here are claiming that the Clinton News Network (CNN) is unbiased. :lamo
Hell the Clinton News Network has been giving Hillary the greatest cover and excuses.

I'll bet dollars to donuts I watch as much CNN as almost anyone on this board and your comment here is simply not true in my experience. First of all, no one pushed Donald Trump harder in the beginning than CNN. He was always on their programming and if he wasn't, their segments almost always revolved around him in some way.

Since the primary was over, they have covered both sides and give both campaign spokespeople plenty of time to speak (and I'd even say Trump surrogates more time than Clinton surrogates), even if the things they are saying are patently untrue (for example, Kristina Pierson had a REALLY bad week not long ago and is still on regularly). Almost every night segment has either Jeffrey Lord or Kayleigh McEnany speaking, and if not one of those two, then some other surrogate (Scottie Nell Hughes, for example) is there to represent Trump.

Your statement here is simply untrue in my experience and suggests to me you either don't watch much CNN or you consume too much right wing media.
