CEO Mark Fields told investors the move is part of plans to make production simpler and less expensive

"Over the next two to three years, we will have migrated all of our small-car production to Mexico and out of the United States," Fields said.

Ford isn't the first automaker move small car production out of the U.S. as Mexico has become a mecca for new automotive industry investment and has surpassed Canada in annual automotive production.

Thanks unions, thanks obama and all Democraps! Thanks Bill Clinton.

Less expensive, less regulations, no unions that have any power.

Just business.

And, as for the "Why is Ford not being a patriotic American company and staying here?" Well, for the same reasons Boeing wanted to build their newest aircraft factory in South Carolina - Washington state and the unions are harming Boeing's ability to do business, and the unions, the NLRB, and other federal agencies are harming Ford's ability to do business, and the same reason Apple builds their stuff in Asia, and so on, and so on.

If you beat a dog enough times, and for a long enough time period, that dog will leave the yard and not come back - an extremely simple principle that many (not all) on the left don't seem to believe and/or understand.

Isn't free trade wonderful? Why should unions expect government assistance in forcing employers to bend to their demands? There is no good reason to force any employer to pay Davis-Bacon wages just because unions are legal.

NAFTA isn't free trade, in fact, none of our trade deals are as of late.

Trump just got very competitive in Michigan

“It used to be cars were made in Flint, and you couldn’t drink the water in Mexico,” Trump stated. “Now, the cars are made in Mexico and you can’t drink the water in Flint.” Donald Trump

The Japanese are building small cars and trucks in the U.S.A. Why can't Ford? One word: Unions.!!!!!

Don't forget out-of-control homicides and drug use. Cars were replaced with that too.
