Last time I checked the gangbangers haven't bothered to make their political affiliations known, so calling it "liberal-land" is rather amusing. Especially considering the fact that murders and crime happen no matter whose running an area, democrats or republicans.

1) uhh, okay. Probably wasting my time buuuttt, I'm going to guess because the places with tons of refugees at the moment have significant Muslim populations. If you meant just immigrants, I'll get back to you when have time to check if there is a country breakdown. I'll bet there isn't "discrimination," though.

2) for the other discussion that randomly popped up in the thread, got any specific liberal policies you can show cause crime and/or murder? Otherwise you have no case.

Your post is hyperbolic.

Chicago is an extremely large city, and you're erroneously using data in terms of absolute quantity. 'Per capita' is the accurate data to use to describe 'crime rate', rather than just using raw numbers (crime). Without knowing the 'rate', the quantity is meaningless!

And you'll find in terms of per capita crime, Chicago does better than places like Houston, Miami, Minneapolis, Cincinnati, etc.
