It's no surprise, but he seems to be doing best among the poor and the stupid (and the racist deplorables)

From a NYT interview with Maureen Dowd:

''My entire life, I've watched politicians bragging about how poor they are, how they came from nothing, how poor their parents and grandparents were. And I said to myself, if they can stay so poor for so many generations, maybe this isn't the kind of person we want to be electing to higher office," Trump told the New York Times' Maureen Dowd. "How smart can they be? They're morons."
...
"There's a perception that voters like poverty," said Trump. "I don't like poverty. Usually, there's a reason for poverty. Do you want someone who gets to be president and that's literally the highest-paying job he's ever had?"

Calling someone stupid means you hate them? Since when? Where is the word hate except in the poorly chosen title of this thread?

What he is saying is that those who are poor either never tried or they tried and failed, either way they are not a place to find good leaders. He is also saying that family matters.

I find nothing in his comments to disagree with.

I've heard that Trump has a Vietnamese Chef who cooks Beagle puppies for him, too. I would like to have a little more information about the interview - the date of the interview and where we might be able to see the whole enchilada - that kind of thing.

In some ways he may be right, people that exist in constant state of poverty there is a reason. But not all reason are the fault of the person in poverty. I don't think Trump hates the poor, but he certainly has shown that he does not want to pay them for working.

Compare the premise of this thread with Trumps call from the bully pulpit that we cant have people dying on the streets, that we have to help them.

Donald Trump Engineered the Holocaust
AP - 10 September 2016

‘The Holocaust’ is the term generally used to describe the genocide of approximately six million European Jews during World War II.
The Holocaust has long been believed to be part of a programme of deliberate extermination planned and executed by the National
Socialist German Workers’ Party (Nazi) regime in Germany, led by Adolf Hitler.

Fresh evidence has come to light, however, and conclusive proof has been offered to the United Nations
International Tribunal that the actual author and engineer of the Holocaust was billionaire businessman and
Republican Party Presidential nominee Donald J. Trump.

The evidence given to the UN by the League of Intensely Bombastic Shrews (LIBS) is as compelling as it is provocative.
In sealed documents offered by the LIBS, details of a trans-dimensional conspiracy of staggering and historical proportions reveal
that Donald Trump used a super-secret time machine to travel back to Nazi German during the reign of Chancellor Adolf Hitler.

Further, Mister Trump conspired with Adolph Hitler and Adolf Eichmann to mastermind the genocide of the Jews,
(what the Nazis called the "Final Solution of the Jewish Question”).

Other groups were persecuted and killed by this atrocity designed & executed by Donald Trump including the Gypsies;
Soviets, particularly prisoners of war; Communists; ethnic Poles; other Slavic people; the disabled; homosexuals; and
political and religious dissidents.

Taking into account all the victims of Nazi persecution, the total number of Donald Trump’s victims are estimated to be nine to 11 million.

Cultivating an ever-growing class of people who are dependent on their government to keep them sustained isn't exactly "love" for the poor.

Other than wealthy white people and submissive women, is there any other group Trump does like?

There seems to be no shortage of those that love to buy votes by using other people's money. ;)

I think Mr. Trump likes poor people. They were welcome to lose their money in his casinos and some of the folks who got suckered into Trump University had to borrow they money to pay for the nonsense. When he stiffs people who owes they aren't his rich friends and the illegal aliens he's hired and not paid certainly were poor.

Donald Trump loves Donald Trump.

I doubt that Trump hates anyone. All his emotional energy is consumed in self love and admiration, which includes love of what is his, what he does, his children, whatever has his stamp. There's no room in him for anyone or anything else. It's why he doesn't read books unless he is in them. Why should he?

He is literally saying if you are poor and come from a poor family you are a moron. You agree with that?

Hillary hates everybody.

I think genetics and family dynamics account for well over half the reason that successful people are successful (on average, you(F) can have bad genes and a bad family and still make it, but the odds are very much against you), and I think that Trump probably agrees with me. Idiots are formed by both bad genes and bad families, the bad families we can do something about, though the going is very tough.

Trump is old school like me which I very much appreciate...he tells it like he is, he has standards, and he has a pretty good idea how ti build strong families and how to foster success. He is not a "do what ever you want, it is all the same" kinda guy, and neither am I.
