Trump closes in on Clinton's projected electoral lead: Reuters/Ipsos Poll

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Republican Donald Trump appears to have carved out a wider path to the White House as a number of states including Florida and Ohio are no longer considered likely wins for Democratic rival Hillary Clinton, according to the latest Reuters/Ipsos States of the Nation project released on Saturday.

The project, which combines opinion polls with an analysis of voting patterns under different election scenarios, still shows Clinton would have the best chance of winning the presidency if the Nov. 8 election were held today. Yet Trump has caught up to her level of support in several states.

Bad news for America but one the two major contenders were Sen. Clinton and Mr. Trump there was going to be no good news.

I really hate this line people have made up.

The entire country was invited to participate in primary elections and caucuses, most didn't, most didn't even care, didn't pay attention, don't throw the blame at those of us who take our citizenship and ownership of community seriously.

Human civilization is better off without Clinton.

Someone with a reasonable worldview cannot make such an assertion when compared to Trump.

You just can't.

Whatevers ones feelings on Mrs. Clinton are, and I certainly can understand them, even the slightest bit of altruism and thought comes to the conclusion Donald Trump is an unthinkable choice next to a very bad one.

don't throw the blame at those of us who take our citizenship and ownership of community seriously.

Yeah Republican primary voters took their "Ownership of Community" so seriously they nominated the most unserious candidate probably of all time.

My statement wasn't limited to Trump, plenty of people chose to support Hillary too, and that's their right. If you have a problem with Trump that's fine. but I was responding to the "how did we nominate these two candidates" people who are knocking both candidates .

No, they weren't. Colorado had no primary. I couldn't travel to the caucus. That doesn't alter the fact that neither Mr. Trump nor Sen. Clinton are worth electing.

That's nice. Why even show up when all possible choices suck?
