He is disrespecting the memory of all those who have fought and died to give him the right to be a little whiny asshole.

Its foolishness, alright. It's foolishness that Kaepenick seems to be a fan of Fidel Castro, judging from his choice of t-shirt; its foolishness that he thinks he's "oppressed"; and it's foolish that people seem to think that he's supposed to be immune from criticism because he's "protesting".

He's not. Those people fought and died specifically so he'd have the right to do exactly this.

No one's said he was immune to criticism it would be nice if the criticism was close to rational though

No, he's not ****ting on that at all. Absolutely no part of his protest is directed at fallen soldiers.

Anecdotally, that's not the position of the significant majority of veterans. Yes, they all say that it is his right and do not want a law passed to stop it but they do not stand beside him.

So say...someone is protesting private property rights, is that American, because he's protesting, even though those rights are one of the cores upon which our nation was founded? The act of protesting itself is not American, by any means.
