La times poll: Trump 45.3% clinton 41.9%...

It depends on how you use the polls. If you use the polls to predict what will happen 10 weeks from now, you will have a high level of error. Polls are a snapshot in time. They reflect what people think now. And methodology can have a significant impact on poll results. Polling is fairly accurate, if used properly.

I'm talking about using polling data now to predict who will actually win the Presidency. I doesn't really matter who was leading in the polls at any particular point if they don't actually win.

That's because people like me and many others have been bombarding them with emails to show some fairness for a change!

Same for Target stores, their business is suffering from the boycotting of their support for deviants. ;)

Wrong. The MSM has been the only part of the media that's actually tried to be fair to both sides. All that's happening is that you're buying in to the right-wing meme that if a media outlet reports anything bad about the Right, then that media outlet MUST somehow be a left-wing shill.

And as for Target, they originally were against equality for LGBT's, and so faced a boycott from the Left. That cost them so much (I still don't go there) that they now support LGBT rights...and it appears that any boycott by the Right is costing them less than the boycott from the Left did.

Using polling data now to predict who will win in November has a high level of uncertainty. It is safe to say that if the election was held today, Clinton would most likely win. It is safe to say that Trump has to improve in order to win in November. To use the polls now to predict the election introduces uncertainty. Saying anything more than the polls show Clinton with an advantage right now is risky at best.

I don't think polls really matter much, right now. There are way too many people sitting on the sidelines wondering what to do. We'll have to see where things stand when the debates happen.

That might have been true back when the parties weren't so polarized...but now they're more polarized than at any time in living memory. The great majority of the people HAVE made up their minds. In other words, if Hillary's breathing, alert, and lucid on Election Day, she's almost certainly going to win.

I just gotta get me one of those "First Dude" t-shirts featuring Bill Clinton's picture....

The election is still fluid. If Trump does passably in the debates and Hillary fails to shine, the gap could close even more than it has in the past two weeks when Trump has cut it in half. It seems astonishing a transparent phony like Trump could be this close, but he is.

So pretending there is "nothing to see here" is a more popular stance. What a surprise.

Vote for Hillary the status quo
.

If you want to follow Trump and the Alt-Right off of the cliff in November no one will stand in your way.

We're living in a free country but reality bites.

I listened to DJT's speech yesterday and found it uplifting and the high energy of the crowd was terrific. I contrasted that with one of Crazy Crooked Granny's and, wow, what a difference. I must have heard a dozen reasons from her how horrible things are and how hard things are for the average American. Leftists dwell in a world misery. What a shame.

Did you watch the same conventions as the rest of the planet?

Because a corrupt lying wall street shill with delusions of liberal globalism and a loathing for American rights, freedoms and sovereignty is a better choice?

Yes, a better choice than a corrupt, lying, 5th Avenue snake oil salesman with delusions of his own self importance and talent, that loathes American rights and freedoms, largely out of ignorance of the constitution, not mention his general ignorance of the world history and culture compounded by the fact that he surrounds himself with second rate talent (as the real talent wants to stay as far away as possible).

Hillary is not a great candidate, but at least she understands the job and has outstanding qualifying experience.

Hillary Clinton has 25 years of experience at the federal level, including serving as secretary of state and living for eight years in the White House. Trump has no experience whatsoever in government. Clinton is surrounded by 1st rate talent; Trump thinks he knows more about ISIS than the generals. Clinton is a student; Trump is not.

This is a debate between the college valedictorian and John Belushi from Animal House. I don't see how this goes well for Trump unless a food fight breaks out.

Trump needs to win all of the states that Mitt Romney won in 2012, and he needs to add Florida, Ohio and Pennsylvania - all 3 of them - to the states that Romney won in order to win in November.

I don't know how anyone sees a path to that.

Well, thanks to Trump's ability to unerringly shoot himself in the foot, I think you're about to find the polls widening up again after his visit to Mexico. He had actually tried to sound diplomatic, even dignified there with the Mexican president...and then just a few hours later went all fire-and-brimstone about immigration, even declaring once more that he was going to force Mexico to pay for the wall that he somehow imagines will be built.

If he'd just stuck with what he said in Mexico, he'd have actually made up some of the ground between him and Hillary...but he destroyed any progress he might have made by his red-meat speech before supporters later that day.

..but he destroyed any progress he might have made by his red-meat speech before supporters later that day.

You are not paying attention to current events..........Not even Trump himself claimed they would write us a check, but with holding foreign aid or taxing the money illegal aliens sending back will pay for it quick.

The answer to why this poll differs so much is easy to spot..

Absolutely idiotic way of polling.

No, it's actually not idiotic at all. In fact, more information can be gleaned from data like this, than simple yes, no questions. Data crunchers love variables, remember that. ;)

Tim-

For every one poll that has Trump in the lead, there's 10 others that don't.

And for every corrupt act by Hil LIAR y there are 15,000 more ! Is there NO end to her lying ?

For every one poll that has Trump in the lead, there's 10 others that don't.

that is changing... and remember trump may have the voters who have not voted in many elections showing up for the BIG SURPRISE

When it comes to the EC, Trump will be trounced. The only reason Trump is still hanging around in some polls is because Hillary is such a god-awful choice. But he's a little worse, which is why he's going to lose in the end.

The left loves to dream , laughable ! The race is tight and moving in Trump's favor in spite of the bias liberal media . :2wave:

I think in the end, come November, Trump will be blown out of the water. But how ****ty is Hillary Clinton that even now, there are some polls that show her so close? I think if the DNC put up an actual candidate, this wouldn't be a "race". Of course, I think the same holds true for the GOP. The only way Hillary could be in the running is if the GOP put up an absolute disaster...and they did.

TRUMP may be supported by the vast majority of americans if one counts the ones that has gave up voting because of seeing both parties the same

insane greed governs all of the liberals and the same insane greed governs part of the conservatives.... these are globalists that harms the NATION's People itself....more markets brings more profits for many.... like nafta did for both the rich of the liberals and the rich of the conservatives at the expense of the middle class..... teddy roosevelt fought both groups just like trump and slipped in as president and made america's greatest laws against monopolies...... but later the media being globalists them sevles helped stop nationlists of ross perot..... pat buchanaa and now TRUMP

also don't count on hillary to win when the cat is now out of the bag... they are pushing for womens very worst nightmare to increase their global money agenda the 1 billion muslims.... how can one single woman vote for the group bringing the worst womens nightmare and also blacks may wake up also with pushing muslims to take their jobs and also the hispanics may wake up because muslims are totally opposite their christianity..... so TRUMP may bring the biggest WAKE UP EVER

The media is biased. Why pretend that it's not?

Follow the money to know why the media is crooked for globalism and against nationalism ... more people and more markets brings MORE MONEY
