Last year, he was denied entry into the U.S.

Nigerian billionaire Gilbert Chagoury, one of Africa’s richest men, has built a reputation as a giant of global philanthropy. His name is on a gallery at the Louvre and a medical school in Lebanon, and he has received awards for his generosity to the Catholic Church and St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital....

I'm going to hope that there was a problem with my phone or something, because I couldn't find anything in the article besides the stuff quoted above - the rest was just advertisement and other articles. Is this level of "quality" typical of LA Times?

You did not link to a story, nor explained why this is newsworthy or worthy of discussion in any way.

Nope. Usually it's much worse.

I know of another billionaire who donated to the Clinton Foundation. His name is Donald Trump.

bureaucrats in other arms of the State Department were examining accusations that Chagoury had unsavory affiliations, stemming from his activities and friendships in Lebanon. After a review, Chagoury was refused a visa to enter the U.S. last year.

Wait a second. I thought the argument from the Trumpettes was that Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton want to let every unsavory character into this country, and we have an open door, come on in, no vetting policy. Now you're saying we don't?

When I first saw the thread title I thought it was about Trump.

I doubt Mickey put any more thought into the point of this article than the author did.
