A Trump presidency could be a real threat to world stability and peace. When the people fail to uphold their end of the deal in democracy IMO it needs to be suspended to keep everything from falling to pieces so that Obama can hold onto power until a more sensible candidate for president is selected. Of course that is radical, but there is no sense in us following the constitution off a cliff.

An opinion like that makes you a bigger threat to America then Trump.

I think real billionaires would take care of that situation.

He could though I suspect doing so would make for one of the more entertaining Thanksgiving seasons we've seen in a while.

No, Obama wouldn't do that.

We've got enough problems dealing with "Sky is falling!!!!" claims from Chicken Littles on the Right - the last thing we need is to feed their fear-mongering even more with posts like yours.

No, the President doesn't get to void the Constitution. That's kind of the deal with supposedly living under the rule of law.

That is a good way to create the beginnings of a real civil war. The rest of your post is just nonsense. The people don't have a responsibility to "uphold their end of the deal" because there is no such deal and you don't get to define a deal that doesn't exist.

The deal is implied in a democratic system and not actually written. People need to be smart and not bigoted and racist when they vote.

Link the "deal". Oh, you made it up. I noticed you added the word "bigoted". How quaint. I noticed you added a hint of "racism" too. Are most of your posts this mindless or is it just this one?

Scratch a liberal, reveal a fascist.

Is there or is there not implied responsibility in being voter? You have to not be stupid and you have to not be a person that will vote institutionalized bigotry against groups of people.

The United States is not a democracy. Besides, what you are describing is not democracy, but a dictatorial coup.

Good God man, enough with the idiotic poeisms already. Just be yourself.

Do you know that there is not a legal requirement to vote? And did you know that people don't have to be intelligent to vote? Hell, look at the two candidates for that answer. I just have one word to say to that, Marion Barry. Okay, that was two words.

And this is enumerated in the Constitution, where exactly?

Well, committing treason is always a personal choice, but the ramifications are usually severe.

I dont like the way people hammer the voters for being stupid when they have a dishonest media feeding them propaganda.

It is up to the voters to sort it out. Half of the population has less than average intelligence.

It's common sense that democracy involves responsibility. Like Ben Franklin said, "with great power comes great responsibility". It wasn't spelled out in the constitution because it's obvious.

Let me guess, you're one of those people that thinks the slave-owning founding fathers were infallible and that the "kawnstitution" is sacred?

This election cycle is like no other before. The prospect of a trump presidency is unthinkable. Should it become a reality (it won't) moneyed billionaires would move decisively
