There were concerns back during the early period of Trump's rise - even back when he was still sparring with Jeb, Rubio, etc - that the media was going to favor the rise of Donald Trump, and give him all the favorable/neutral coverage they could, in order to help him knock down the rest of the Republican rivals. And plus they'd rake in lots of dough from their numerous interviews with Trump, who was a natural ratings-getter for them.
Then, once all the rival Republican threats had been eliminated, and its was just Trump-vs-Hillary, that very same media was going to pull a big switcheroo on how they covered Trump, and begin nailing him in every way imaginable, pulling out all stops to prevent him from winning. At that point, nothing Trump could say or do would be right, and everything coming out of him would automatically be labeled wrong. That would be the big switcheroo, to put the fix in - an entirely pre-calculated sea change in how Trump would be treated, in order sink his candidacy at all costs. Having used him as an instrument to sink all the other Republican rivals, the Left-dominated media would then finally eliminate Trump himself, quickly and mercilessly.
So what does behavior of the media thusfar tell us about how well they have collectively adhered to such a pre-calculated strategy? Will it work? Will it be effective? Will it deliver the electoral verdict in a way that was planned all along, since way back early on in the election primaries?
