Bernie Sanders Buys $600K Lakefront Summer House in Vermont

Why does everyone have to have 3 houses? And it could be sustainable, it depends on the houses. What do houses have to do with global warming?

they don't

we have a decent system in place. very few of us can afford to have three houses, and that doesn't create environmental problems.

he is trying to end that form of system and treats those that have the luxurious lifestyle he also wants to live as if they are the enemy of the people

he is a phony

Luxurious lifestyle? You said he was a phony because he was pro-environment. And he never said people can't live well. This isn't a multi million dollar mansion with gold faucets we're talking about.

So, very few of us can afford 3 houses, and this doesn't create environmental problems. So houses are not causing environmental problems. What was your point exactly here? You're posts are making less and less sense.

Sad......

Yes, luxurious.

“I’m Bernie Sanders, and I approve this boat house on the lake”

Three houses is a life of luxury.

America consumes too much. When we talk consumption, we aren’t talking about just the food we stick in our mouths. Buying homes is a form of consumption. He has now bought three of them. He has no room to stand on a soap box and criticize people for living a life of luxury, he joined them. And worse, he did a great deal of it on the taxpayers dime.

Phony!

Buying a 600k house with inherited wealth = multimillion dollar living and lobbying the government to **** the poor so you can make more money easier

You made your point, and it's still rediculous.

You're post is factually inaccurate. But more importantly, you're a libertarian suggesting we have a law that requires seizing property from people because they have too much, and giving it to the poor to promote social equality?

So excited to drop in for a cheap shot you didn't really think your post through did you? It was a real knee slapper though.

I was obviously being facetious. How is my post factually inaccurate? I only posted two facts, 50 million in poverty. and Bernie being a democratic socialist.

So excited to thing you caught me on something you didnt really backup your argument did you?

He said he would do what it takes to stop Trump when the primaries began, I don't know why you think he's obligated to go back on his word. Hillary is terrible but she's more of the same terrible. This isn't hard to understand. But hey, maybe next post you can type ""Little bitch" in bigger letters, or bold it or something.
The term 'little bitch' pretty much stands both on its own and loud and clear. I think it's pathetic that he sold his soul to people that have spent the last 18 months ****ing him over and even more pathetic that his followers have joined him. I'm not a republican...but at least the GOP has people that recognize what Trump is and are actively trying to stop him. The rats? Full on partisan mode. Pathetic.

He said, when the primaries started, that he would not be responsible for president Trump, he would do what it takes to stop Trump. I don't understand why you think he needs to go back on his word. Hillary is terrible, it's a shame the GOP couldn't field even a Romney-level candidate this cycle. He would have been a shoo in. Instead they put up one of the few people America would elect Hillary to avoid. None of this is Bernie's fault. Trump is just that bad.

The fact you think Bernie is a "little bitch" when you've never liked him to begin with means nothing to me.

buying your third home that comes in at 600k while standing on soap boxes decrying consumerism and global warming makes him a phony and a hypocrite.

his followers seem to be the same. a bunch of loud mouth morons that haven't a clue

You're entitled to your opinion. But that's all it is. I wholeheartedly disagree with you, especially given the circumstances.

I'm getting bored going around in circles with you and reading the same bull**** over and over.

good bye!

maybe the next guy won't be such a ****ing hypocrite!

how stupid is he to care about choices in deodorant but not about having three times as many houses as one actually needs.

Are you deflecting by answering a question with a question? Do we presume guilt before innocence? Has he ever dodged any kind of taxes before?

No, I'm pointing out that I'm simply asking a question. Someone else is certain that Sanders paid his taxes. How can you all be so certain?

Bernie showed himself to be a little bitch when the BLdM group drove him off the stage. He proved himself to be a pathetic little bitch when it was exposed he had been truly ****ed by the DNC and Hillary and then bent over for them once again. When you lack values you lack values. He proved he has no values.

again the liberal hypocrisy live like I say not as I do.

when are people going to learn.

When you learn to accurately portray someone's position.

Bernie never said we should all be poor.

of course not. they want to share everyone else's wealth hence the phrase live as I say not
as I do.

and raves about rich people and their wealth then goes out and buys a home that all but the top
1% of americans could afford.

$600K is not all that much, its a bit more than the average can afford but all but the 1%? Am I out of touch on this?

how dishonest to focus only on one of his three houses.

I don't know what % of the population claims ownership of 3 houses, but it isn't common.

That wold buy you a 2 bed condo in Toronto. I would say you are not out of touch. Compared to prices in a lot of cites it is dirt cheap. I would imagine most senators own 3+ houses and theirs probably cost several million.

Bernie is a European style Democratic Socialist, not a Communist. I think it's funny that many people like you don't comprehend there is rich and poor in modern Democratic Socialist nations.

I get it just fine. Bernie wants to punish the ever loving **** out of the Rich... well except the Rich like himself.

The median income in the US is about 54k dollars.
The mortgage rate on 600k is about 2,800 that doesn't include taxes or insurance.

So basically 3500-4000(or more) a month depending on where you live. At max that is 48000 a year.
To be on the edge of affording that you would need to make at least 100k.

Your housing should be about 20-30% max of your income.
Most working people cannot afford a 600k home.

You could drop it to the 10%

If there are no rich people who will be employing the masses?

Other Americans with innovation and goddamn bank account and the ability to pull a loan. lol

how obtuse can one be?
