Somebody's gonna win the Presidency.

It'll be Hillary Clinton, Donald Trump, or, just for kicks and giggles, Gary Johnson (House of Reps likely if no one gets the required 270 EC votes to win).

And though races for governor and senator etc. across America offer really no one of considerable substance to get really happily excited about (most people are getting rather fearfully excited, for sure) ..

.. Focusing just for a moment on the race for President, of the possible victors, which one do you think could likely be more reigned in by an American citizen's group (like, say, Powerful American Political Alliance) to keep him or her from really screwing Americans economically?

Congress will reign in Trump. Hillary is dangerous.

Honestly, I think Trump would (at least) listen to his cabinet and the senate. Hillary has been drooling over watching Obama go rogue, with all his executive orders. I could see her issuing five times as many executive orders, just to undermine congress and the constitution in general.

I don't think trump will be controlled, Congress simply won't support any of his policies (unless they are actually reasonable).

I don't think Hillary will be controlled, rather she will get much of what she wants (whatever her hidden agenda really is) accomplished. She is the consummate political hack.

Johnson? Much like Trump he has no support in Congress. However, he might be able to lure both conservative Democrats and a number of Republicans to support any rational proposals. That means he might be controlled to a certain extent in order to wheel and deal successfully. I don't know him well enough to say for sure.

How when the GOP will still have the House and 50/50 chance of keeping the senate. With Hillary I see 4 more years of gridlock/obstruction.

I think trump will be so toxic to voters that the house and senate will flip.

Clinton knows how to get her way politically. She probably also has dirt on anyone in Washington. With the amount of things Obama did with executive order, I shudder at the thought of Clinton in office. Trump's extreme positions cannot be done in America. Clinton will weasel what she wants in slowly.

Well - I no longer have faith in Congress. They haven't adequately handled anything in quite a long time and I don't expect that to change anytime soon. They couldn't even pass a budget, causing tens of thousands of employees to go without pay time and again.

So whomever becomes president, they'll get a full run of the joint with little oversight. Hillary will just lie and let everyone die. Trump will stir the pot and call it soup.

What about their recent behavior has given you the notion that Republicans in Congress will grow a backbone to stand against their own party's president?

The two Democrats can't be controlled by a Congress of Eunuchs. If Gov. Johnson simply follows what he's done in New Mexico he would need much "controlling". If Donald Trump does what he's done for forty years or Sen. Clinton does what she's done for forty years, we're screwed.
